Anemeros sent me a message saying that there is a rumor that Ubi will be releasing a patch for Predator very soon, along with some DLC. I'm really hoping this is the case, it would really breathe some new life into the game. Anyone hearing anything similiar to this?

I really really hope this turns out to be true,
There are a lot of people still using Evolution because of the Pred problems, A fix would get a load more people onboard, The scene would be buzzing again.
This could add to more competition for map makers, Which is a good thing.
As for DLC im sure a few themes, profile pics, would also be welcomed.
Even though its only a rumour, It sure is good news.

A little off topic but - I read that FarCry is coming out on Nintendo Wii - If Crytec jumped ship and went to EA then who is doing the work.
Also wont it be a slap in the face to us if the Wii version is all sorted out - no bugs / glitches etc.
Usually when you hear a rumour - there is some truth to the matter - just hope this turns out to be the case.

Ubisoft bought the exclusive rights to Far Cry from Crytek a few months ago. I think it's pretty neat that Far Cry is going to the Wii, will be interesting to see how it plays with the new controller. I think the Wii has the potential to revolutionize FPS, just point & shoot.

And what if you have to drive the vehicles by holding up the controller like your hands are on the steering wheel, and turn it like you're turning the wheel. Fun!

Well I've still got my fingers crossed for a 360 patch/update. Hopefully once the Wii version comes out Ubi will be able to put more effort into refining our version.

My opinion only...
I personally think that they MUST show that they can fix Predator BEFORE FC hits the Wii
Reason?
How is anyone to trust that they can make a quality edition on the Wii when they couldn't/can't get one to work properly on the 360?
From a marketing perspective it would do wonders for them to fix this one now...could lead to a lot of good press prior to the version on the Wii coming out.
On the other hand...if they don't fix this one first...it could lead to a lot of disbelief/distrust on their ability to pull it off on the Wii and potentially BAD press, thus impacting sales...
Again...just one old guy's opinion...

Word from the Far Cry site:
http://farcrygame.com/uk/home.php
Updates are a complicated business. The issues that sometimes occur when games are released for online play can be complex to reproduce and solve. Then the testing and approval process needs to begin, and changes may have to be made.
No one wants to release an update that doesn't properly solve the issues players are having - and, with this in mind, the wait for a Far Cry Instincts Predator update has been longer than usual. But the process is now complete, and the update will be released through Xbox Live at the start of next week!
Here is a summary of some of the issues it addresses:
Controls will be more responsive than before (in all game modes)
Faster and smoother thumb stick response (in network games)
Reduced the analog thumb stick dead zone from 35% to 24%
Fixed Rich Presence (Xbox Live status)
Support for more than 64 save games (including user maps) â€" the limit is now as many saves as will fit on your storage device
Fixed voice chat lag with high number of players
Can change game type in game lobby
Fixed occasional issue where no weapon appears in hand
Fixed occasional issue where players are disconnected from lobby and game session
Fixed occasional problems when joining from friends list
See you online!
