Well just a few comments on the video shown at E3, dunno if there will be more.. wouldn't mind it though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

But it looked interesting, although that bit with the general was a bit.. bland and he didn't really seem impressed with the situation at any point..

Otherwise quite like the variety in units already shown http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Wolverines, M3 Lees, stuarts, priests, Marder IIs.. and sturmgrenadiers ? A bit curious to me, only place i heard of those where from the eastern front in a sturm division.

Also the base building did look a bit interesting, although the bit with raiding supply depots reminded me of C&C generals.. So a thought, will one be able to take out the supply convoys ? Because that could certainly lead to new strategies as players head further and further out after resources..

Also a small comment on those sherman crocodiles.. The range was a bit... extreme, i mean they could shoot almost as long as the priests, firing over townships and what not.. I mean i am not going for total realism here and so on.. But that was just a bit too much :P

But interesting all in all, and nice to see some north africa http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

yeah the sherman crocodiles range was fail man. like wtf was that that kinda was a downer for me and with the artillery does that just kill every thing and not miss ?.

crocodiles range = to much should have to drive tank like right in town.

yeah the range kinda mad me sad, but i think that the artillery wasnt that bad, there were a considerable amount of shells that missed the target.

I'd just hate to play the dude on multiplayer that mass produces the croc's with that kinda range

I think the Croc's range may have been buffed. The tanks get taken out in seconds by the infantry so they may have had to increase the range to beat them...Just a thought.

And Quarantine, it wouldn't matter if they did as you could just produce AT guns and AT tanks.

Anyway, it was quite zoomed in so the range might not be that big. It's not like their shooting halfway across the map.

yeah, the maps are MASSIVE, and thats a good thing.

I understand your plight but it's a balance issue.

It's necessary.

hold on a sec guys. it just occurred to me that the churchill crocodile was not in use until after the normandy landings. the same goes for the sherman variant. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif
so why are they in North Africa in 1943? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Its was prob due to the natzi's experiments with time travel and they prob caused a rip in the time space continuam that aloud a few units out of the future to sneak through...if you look close youle see tom hanks aswell...and some martians http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif Thats Ridiculous!! If thats true then i guess it makes sense that it could fire over a small town. Do you happen to have a link or something as to where you found that it did that?

Commander672

That kind of range is the end of infantry. Though if such range is only possible when the infantry is occupying the town, and everywhere else is much lower, it may be understandable.
...MAY be.

Inquisitor Zeal is Right! We must have proof of such a statement! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Proof, or counter proof.

The English Channel at its narrowest point is 21 miles or 34 kilometers wide.

Thats 34,000 meters.

The crocs was capable of throwing fire about 110 meters.

Who here is good at maths.

Inquisitor_Zeal

lmao if the narrowest point is 34km... then there is no way in hell a croc. would be able to shoot over that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

well... after checking wiki. It states that the croc had a very short range... The idea of it shooting over the english channel suggests that its range was further than the german 88mm Flak Gun! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Why does noone ever read my posts http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

+ Being able to shoot over the Channel would give Crocs the range of a modern piece of artillery.

Real Churchill Crocidile video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rpEO3oiuos

There, see? It cant shoot fire in a 3-story 200 ft arch like the video (assuming it was 3-storys comparing it to the buildings they fired over), it shoots a more modest 120 ft. flatter arch.
