Could someone tell me , which flak guns make the black clouds, ive increased the amount of flak guns in a FMB, but the black clouds seem to have stayed the same.
Thanx in advance http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The german 88 will make black clouds. The Russian 85 might do it too.

Definitely the German 88mm and Russian 85mm. The smaller calibre guns fire more rapidly, which shows as lines plus bright explosions. Also, the smaller AA guns do not have the range of the big two, so will not fire at all if the aircraft is above a certain altitude.
Cheers!

I use only the 88's and 85's, and only very sparingly.
The smaller flak guns kill more than just airplanes, they kill frame rates, and tend to be a real nuisance.
I figure missions are for setting up air combat, not for getting shot down by flak.
I minimize flak in my missions.

the maxim will engage ground targets, including the little runnin guys you see when convoys are attacked. If you use the round sandbags, you have to put the open end toward the enemy or it wont shoot......go figure.

Actually, the Russia 85mm fires sort of purple-ish clouds.

Besides the 88/85, the Bofors are quite user friendly, not much of a FPS drop with them.
