real myst compatibilty

Does anyone in myst land know how to get "real myst interactive" to work on a dell 1.8ghz inceleron pc with xp windows? I tried the
compatibilty changer but no avail. Tech rep has no advice but my riven and exile work great with same requirements. I tried va patch I found as well. Please comment if you got the knowlege. Thanks! Mr. Inconpatible
