how do i get hayes down from the damn ledge!!!

rite, im on chapter 5 (i think) and up to the part where me and carl are by the waterfall, with hayes trapped on the ledge. walkthroughs tell me to burn the bushes to help him down, ive done so, countless times, but he wont budge. the bushes to the right of the waterfall, rught next to where hayes is, dont seem to help him move at all. Any suggestions? would be helpful thank you!!

ok, go though the water make sure you have a spear poke the thing's in the water walk to the side that carl is not on then 2 ventosaures come throw the spear far. go on land turn right go to the door look for a opening go thourgh it there will be more water go thourgh the water up the stairs look for the fire put your spear on fire then thourgh it at the big bush but when you get up there be carfull a veantosaur come's around on the rocks near the waterfall get the thompson from hayes then shoot the ventosaurs use your spear on the bush far from the water fall then hayes will get down.

IVE JUST PASSED THAT LEVEL.LET ME TELL U A EASYER WAY,WHEN U GO IN U SEE HAYES,HE SHOULD TALK TO CARL THEN TELL U TO BURN THE BUSHES TO GET DOWN.HE'LL JUST STAND BESIDE THE TIKI.WHAT I DID WAS WENT THROUGH THE WATER THEN KILLED THE 2 VENTOSAURS THEN I WENT THROUGH AND THE 3rd VENTOSAUR CAME AND THEN HAYES SAYES HIDE.GET A SPEAR THEN GO BACK TO CARL,BURN THE BUSH CLOSEST TO HAYES.CARL SHOULD SAY BULL'S EYE THEN HAYES WILL COME DOWN, GET THE OTHER LEVER AND PUT IT ON THE POLE.JUST PUT YOUR HAND ON IT AND WAIT FOR HAYES TO COME,TURN IT THEN HAYES WILL RUN BACK TO CARL IF U HAVENT KILLED THE 3RD VENTOSAUR YET.JUST GO THROUGH THE DOOR DONT WORRIE ABOUT THE 3RD VENTOSAUR.GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE DOOR GO THROUGH THE WATER.FORGET ABOUT HAYES AND CARL THEY WILL AUTOMATICLY MEET WITH YOU IN THE NEXT LEVEL.<span class="ev_code_RED">FOLLOW ALL OF THESE STEPS.
