View Full Version : What do you consider not enough sleep
over the course of the past 3 days I have slept for like 20 hours and the rest went to gaming or a little chat but I also plan to see the sun rise tonight which i hope will only bring my total up to like 25 hours of sleep. The theory I am running on is once you lose the ability to see straight keep going, once you lose color in your vision start to have doubt, once you pass out goto bed (this has happened to me twice... both nights I have tested my theory http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif ).
BCA - 5:06 PM Central Time (only about 13 more hours till the sun rises baby... now where is my sugar water... I mean gatoraid at.)

lol, nice boo! I remember one day during the summer I was eating breakfast at like 6 a.m.. My dad walks into the kitchen and says in a proud way "Oh! So your finally getting up early for school!" I said ya, but I'd really never gone to bed!!!
If I go through with my plan and watch the sun rise I will have like 24-25 hours of sleep over 4 days and I am going to truck right on through http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif
Almost 3 AM here, and if my guess is correct the sun will rise at 6 or 7 AM... only about 3 more hours to go baby.
BCA - 2:28 AM Central Time
Ok well forget the sunrise, yet again my head has hit the desktop and this time I landed on the bridge on my nose... good ol' paper towels are holding back the small mess... good lord that hurt like hell... until next weekend.
BCA - 3:06 AM Cental Time (Packing it in with a bloody nose)...(cant wait till next weekend http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif)
Just made the mistake of telling my parents... well at least they got a laugh out of it, my nose still hurts and I have a SLIGHT headache

BCA, that still cracks me up when I hear it. I can't believe how your head dropped fast enough to do that. But I give you props for trying to make it through the night. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Let me see, what do I consider not enough sleep?
When you can go grocery shopping, with the bags under your eyes. Sorry, it's the only logical conclusion I came to.
If you have read my theory and its outcomes you will, by god hopefuly, know that I have put 0 logic into that plan which is why I will follow it every weekend until the day I die. If I die with a controller in my hand at the buttcrack of dawn, then I will die a happy man (which wont be anytime soon... picture an 80 year old man screaming at the TV because of a BS headshot and there you go lol!)

This should be great. I'd say we need to keep points for this one. Next weekend before you start, start a thread and if possible post a thread every hour detailing your progress.
Points will be determined and handed out at the communities discretion. Sound good?

I seem to run on a quota kinda basis: I can survive on three hours sleep for about two days, and then I have to sleep for at least ten hours the next night. I think I managed to stay up for 25 hours straight once, then slept for about thirteen hours :P
I loooove sleep. :P
well on November 8th I wont be geting any sleep because at midnight I will be doing the Halo 2 midnight sale and me and my assistant manager are going to have 3 red bulls a piece (he is bringing a 6 pack) because he is opening the store the next morning and I am going to school the next morning.

BCA if you were working at the store in Appleton I'd say I'd see you there, but whatcha going to do.
I finally went out and reserved my copy last night, made a game run last night, so I'll be in line at midnight to pick it up. Hopefully the lines won't be too long, cause like you, I'll have to get up the next morning, only I have to go to work instead of school.
Speaking of which, I should probably see what assignments I have to do this week... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Okay, how's this for not enough sleep...
Director of Human Resources calls today. Has a problem with his computer. So I make my way over to his office and he starts telling me what's going on and I start working on the problem. Well he's carrying on a conversation with me and between that and looking at his computer screen my eyes started getting heavy. Next thing I know my head is slowly drooping down with a quick jerk back as I try to wake myself up.
Needless to say not a good impression to leave. But why is this happening? Because I've been staying up very late playing games when I have to get up early the next morning. Good news is I didn't hit my nose on his desk. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Boo - I go to bed around 4am - 6am, and wake up around 10. Many mornings I am still awake at 10am. If I try to sleep more than 4 hours these days I wake up. This morning, I woke up at 4:30am rested because I went to bed at 12:30. My body has been trained for 4 hours sleep.
Oh, btw, I sleep sitting up so it is easier to wake up. AND shotgunning a Red Bull when you wake up is not such a good idea come to find out.

ditto katscratch. I have the same deal, Im on call for work and have gotten into the habit of going to sleep around 5am when I finish and getting up around 10am to go back. So now on any normal night I off to z-land around 1 and wake up at 4. So what to do - jump on Live for a few hours, one way to pass the time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I went around 72 hrs once without sleep a few years back - now THATS when you start seeing things...
