Taken some decent screenshots? Let's see them then!... But - Are they good enough to win? You won't know unless you enter them!

The screenshot comp started with SH3 over 2 years ago, now incorporates SH4 and is still going - and growing! It's the only Silent Hunter screenshot comp officially supported by Ubisoft. There are separate entry threads for unedited and edited categories.

Why should I?

Don't you want to be a winner? Every winner receives the coveted certificate "” printed on specially finished paper to recreate that authentic 'yesteryear' look and posted in a hard backed envelope to wherever they live in the world!

Timeframes?

Post your entries 1st to 16th of each month "” then 17th to end of month the same thread changes for voting.

What else?

- Max 4 entries.
- No dials. Press ˜Del' / ˜.' on your number pad to remove dials before you take your screenshot. Press this key again to replace dials.
- Be sure you are posting in the correct comp"”unedited comp for standard shots, edited comp for those you have made changes to after taking it.
- 800x600 max size, widescreen users ensure max width of 1024 pixels.

Wait for the 17th when voting starts and see how you get on! Anyone can vote, even if you didn't enter. Cast two votes:

I enjoyed Battlestar Galactica in part due to their realistic camera movement, almost documentary style as opposed to "planned" shots, kind of a point of view kind of thing which is the first thing that comes to mind as I see this shot, great water, sub renders well, plane looks good, fireball is all it should be and I'm in the other Jap plane trying to get a snap of my buddy going in for the kill...over my shoulder ... in a tight right turn...... fighting the blast concussion that buffets the lightly armored A6M Zero .... Hey ... he's burning! He's no longer the pilot, he's become an unintentional Kamikazi! Farewell, my brother...

I didn't post on SH4 this month, so voting here is so much easier than SH3. There's that desire to win, offset by the really good competition, a quandry to be sure! Go vote!

Excellent picture and nice angle supported by excellent dark environment. I can hear the "wolf" is howling, the feeling of cruising the calm water in the dark and watched by the moon over the land.
