Activation on a non-net connected PC?

I have read the FAQ about setting up a manual activation key but although it says it's possible it does state one needs to go online to get a key to type in

I just bought this game for my son for xmas and I want him to play it on his PC, which is not connected to the net and never will be! If I install the game on MY PC, then get a manual activation code, can that same code be used to install the game on his pc?

Is there a way I can get the game to work on his PC without me having to install it on mine?

I'd really like a response to this please, I cannot run the game on my net-connected PC for him as it does not have the specifications required for play (video card not up to scratch.
