Does anyone else keep getting these connection errors that keep me having to reload the whole app?

yay same here it happen evertime that i try to play it. its like 10/10 give me this msg:An error has occurred. Please try refreshing. if i am lucky 1/10 will let me play. what i do is after 5 try still can not get in i just restart the browser again.

I experience them all the time in the Italian Wars: Chapter 2 events. The rest of the game has been relatively problem free.

And another. Yesterday and today, getting the "Connection error" "please try refreshing" notice. OTOH, I can see behind the error that the banner has been updated to replace the alchemy promo with a promo for the store, so at least something's been updated ;-).

A thought: I've updated Flash a couple of times in the last few days at the behest of security software. I know PL has had Flash-related problems in the past. Could that be the case here?

Update: Now it loaded. Hopefully it's been fixed and this isn't a transient thing :-).

I keep getting error message when a I try to play, in fatc it keep asking to refresh the page, no mather what I do, I'm unable to play.

Besides the fact that the current version is a Beta, is there a way I can play a bit. I tried using IE and Chrome and both are doing the same thing.
I could install other browser, but I don't think it's going to change anything
Should i wait for the official release ?, meaning I don't play anymore

Works fine for me.

Sometimes I have to refresh a few times or let it go for some minutes maybe hour and then try again and it works.

About browser uninstall Chrome and stop using IE thats the only advice i give you.

Ohh and BTW what i found out is when you start the game on facebook the link looks like this:

http://apps.facebook.com/projectlegacy/?ref=bookmarks

Often if it keeps having problems i change the URL to:

http://apps.facebook.com/projectlegacy

Just by deleting the ending and then press enter and that 9 out of 10 times works fine until next time that is lol.

I've been having problems as well for the past few days. Sometimes the app won't load at all and I have to refresh, sometimes it gets to the main page but then stops loading. Some memories work fine while others (namely in Italian Wars) will give me an error as soon as I try to replay them and I have to refresh the page.

Same here. It's nearly impossible to train Assassin recruits without the "Connection Error" occurring.

i was playing trouble free when i first started but now i can rarely even get to play the game as the error sign comes up straight away. why hasnt this been sorted?? its not like its made but a low budget indie company so you'd expect them to jump on this straight away. such a shame you know coz right now im trying to suck up as much of the AC story as poss

I am running windows 7 Pro 32 bit.
I set flashplayer to Windows XP SP3 compatibility. I still get disconnected constantly but reload works properly without leaving a hung flash process in task manager.

Yet another user with connection errors, have been troubleshooting, and 90% of the time the error comes when i "execute" so i am sure it is the same function as "train"

flash is current, i tried rolling back to the latest 3 versions, with the same issue, i think the ubi server is the root of the issue.

I think it's getting better. The first day I played this I was able to play for hours without trouble. The next day I couldn't load a memory without having to reload the page. regardless of URL or browser. I am able to play a little bit now but this is very frustrating.
I'm nearly at 100% in brotherhood and want those extra capes!

I noticed today that Italian Wars ch. 2 was generating "please reload" errors while the rest of the DDS worked fine. Since that chapter's had issues ever since they added the "Initiation" Uplay action (Access and execute an event of the 2nd chapter of the Italians Wars set), I'm guessing the current problem is related.

I am having the same problem. Although, when I first started playing it a few months ago, I've never encountered any errors. The "Connection Error" started appearing only in the last month or so. I play on 3 different computers and all have the same problem.

At the same time when I try to open to App, the Project Legacy window showing the Abstergo logo comes up but the loading messages do not appear. I have to force refresh several times and if I'm lucky then it starts loading the game.

Ubisoft, when is this getting fixed??

I have the same connection issues. Chapter 1 was fine now chapter 2 I keep getting this error. I have tried it on IE, Chrome and Firefox and neither work.

Ubisoft, I recently made a facebook account and I'd like to play Project Legacy... but it turned out this keeps telling CONNECTION ERROR or not loading at all just showing Abstergo logo without loading the main game...

Just please fix this somehow, it's really annoying when it loaded finally and after one click it shows CONNECTION ERROR and that's it...

The connection error issue has lasted FAR TOO LONG. Some of us wanted to experience the sroty of the game. Now it refuses to load, and tells me to refresh the page. This problem is on Ubisoft's end, and the support team have offered little advice at all.

Any updates soon perhaps??

This is a fun app and I like playing it, but the connection problem makes it so that I spend more time waiting for the app to work than I do actually using it, and am, as such, giving up on it. I've seen posts talking about this issue from 2010, so I've concluded this is a problem that will never be addressed.

The connection error seems to be related to the "Italian Wars" module. Whenever I use any other module it works, but as soon as switch to that (primarily to gain resources), I get a connection error...

Having said that, however, considering the game is related only to AC2; not AC3 that is due for release in October, I suspect Ubi has stopped supporting the game.

So, I'm not the only one having these loading problems. I remember when I first started playing it and had no problems, but when I started up again earlier this month this crap started to happen.

Hey Ubi. What the heck is the sense in having a forum if you guys never respond to us? :mad: So many people have been begging you to answer them regarding this issue which is so dang annoying. Are you guys ever going to fix this problem? Seriously what is the deal?

I'm having these problems which basically restrict me from completing the rest of the game.

1. Italian Wars (Chapter 2) which crashes me no matter what sub memory I access, it just won't cooperate nicely, I crash sometimes after executing a few times or just once.

2. Contracts - I have so so so many contracts left to do and every time I try to do one, it crashes almost instantly, if I get lucky I can finish a contract or two but I pay for it in the end by not being able to load up the game for a long time.

3 (a). PvP - Most of the time when I go to do skirmishes, nobody shows up as targets, it's completely empty.. and then I'll go back later and tons of people will be there again. I found out though it's good to combine the Mnemonic set that decreases all skirmishes for 20h helps a lot. It gives you tons of level 1 targets to beat up on.

3 (b). PvP - Again, after like 15-20 skirmishes, it just freezes the whole browser for no reason. I'll be stuck, can't do nothing, can't click away and force close my browser.

I know I'm double posting but who cares? It's not like it matters. Anyways, here's a copy of an e-mail I got from Ubi Support about the problems concerning Project Legacy, frustrating to say the least.

Why does Project Legacy crash after executing a memory just one time? It's absolutely impossible to play and impossible to earn the special items for my ACB save.

Soon as I load the app 99% of the time I'm getting that message. When I manage to load without seeing it, I click "execute" on any memory and there it is.

Thank you for reporting this issue. It may be useful for you to try some simple browser troubleshooting with this type of issue. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies and see if this has any new results. Also try a different browser as well. I have sent this along through the appropriate channels for processing. I received your response and I am surprised to read you would suggest clearing web cache and cookies would be a solution to the problem that has been going on for over a year for everyone who accesses the app. I know this error is not new, I just want to know why nothing is being done about it. I know I am not the only one experiencing problems, the entire Project Legacy section of the forums is filled with complaints dating back from 2011 about how nobody can play Project Legacy and earn the items for their AC:B save file.

Unfortunately, we are only able to provide standard browser troubleshooting for web based games. Keep in mind, we are only support and here more for step by step troubleshooting. As previously mentioned we have reported the issue through the proper channels, however there is no further development being completed for Project Legacy. Any changes to this will be posted directly to the forums or the official Facebook page.

I have used, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and even Safari browsers. Every time I get the whole connection error.
Now I don't mean to sound uncaring, or even disrespectful but I have come up with several reasons why this has
not been resolved, I being the nice guy I am will prove a list which will either confuse or even cause laughter.

1. The programmers are so very busy making new games for the company that they simply don't have time to fix it.
Basically new project takes priority, forget old project don't have enough time

2. The actual sales of the Brotherhood games were so below their expected returns that they consider anytime spent
on the Project Legacy to be a waste of resources, time and effort, In other words,

3. The programmers know that you can complete the entire game without project legacy so they don't consider it important
enough to devote time, money and resources to fix the error.

4. They have a couple of new games out that they are spending all their time and resources debugging and they simply either
can not spend time to fix this error or they simply forgot it even exists since they have some many other bugs and dlc to make
current games and possibly future titles of the series.

5. Facebook changed the code of their network and cause the error in the first place, so the company can not even try to fix it
since they will not share the changes in code with anyone.

Now for a solution.

1. Creating a standalone client which people can download as to not be dependent on facebook. This can be done for all the 3
major platforms. PC, Xbox and PS3. It can be treated as a Uplay download for 10 Uplay points.

Now chances are that this solution will be considered a waste of time, money and resources and be ignored all together,
The other is that they programmers came up with the same idea and were told the same thing, a big waste time, money and
resources.

But all in all I am hoping that it is not the last reasons why this error it was not fixed or will be fixed,

6. They simply don't care about they players at all.

considering the fact that they pulled the plug on it right before a series of final updates were ready to go out... i doubt they will ever fix it

in fact i think the only reason that the game is still running is cause its hosted on a facebook server, ubi has no control over the server... but if you contact facebook about the game, they will say to contact its developer, ubisoft XD

I never even get the black letters and I keep seeing errors in the console about it not finding crossdomain.xml and not finding a function for setautoresize. Wasn't there a way before to access the app directly instead of through FB?
