After generally agreeing with most criticisms so far and, having provided a few of my own, I am now starting to really get into this game.

The first three missions are dire. But from Shanghai onwards (I've just started Kinshasa so can't comment from here to the end of the game), they start to get a lot better, and shock, actually involve stealth.

Cozumel really has some fancy graphics (amazing fountains, water, aquarium, and sun haze).

There are a few great heart stopping moments e.g. cracking the safe in the Dr's room in Shanghai.

Some great timing moments - the high security area in JBA3.

Now, I still think the game engine is over stressed and is not responsive enough. The camera is still in the wrong place and Sam is too clumsy.

And, I don't think there is much replayability in it as it's far too linear and there don't seem to be many alternative routes (unless I've missed them http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)

Therefore, I will still trade it in for the XBOX version but now it's fun to play whereas it was a chore completing the first 3 missions.

I absolutely LOVE this game. Even the first few missons I liked. It was SO fun to play the game over and find there were 2 missions I never played before, and a few I still don't think I've done. I like how the choices affect u so much.
Also, hard is REALY realistic now, at least in my opinion. And completing all the achievements, including the secret ones, were a lot of fun. I personally find a LOT of replayability in this game.
and don't even start me on versus, this is definately the way multiplayer was supposed to be originally. The two teams are completely fair. Mercs are like a FPS with ninjas ur supposed to kill, and the spies' new moves are a great improvement. The hacking unit was a great idea, it makes it a more stealthy situation. "will he find me? is he going this way? OH NO! RUNRUNRUNRUN!" I love it.

I don't think u should trade it in 4 xbox version, but that's just me.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I am an all out SC fan and it is really a great game. Not as good as the first sc, but still there are some great missions. Iceland wasn't too bad. I bit short, as to actually infiltrating the geothermal plant. The JBA missions had something different about them. I love Cozumel because it is actually one of the missions that has fast paced action stealth (non-stop). Shanghai, i was speechless. Definately the 1st or 2nd best mission, Kinsasha is tough to beat.

Ubisoft still have some holes to patch up, though overall it was great. I think Ubi are getting ahead of themselves a bit. Go back to basics. SC was awesome and the CIA mission still remains THE best mission so far.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I just realised I got my missions mixed up. I meant the first three being Iceland (has potential but is far too short), Prison (truly awful level), and Okhotsk (frustrating).

JBA1 was ok. JBA 2 and 3 were great.

I think MP looks excellent but I don't really play on line so I won't appreciate it.

I don't think I have any secret achievements so that could be a reason for going through again.

Iceland's awesome albeit short (short seems to be the general concensus)

The prison isn't god awful, but it as awful short and doesn't really feel like a breaking out atmosphere.

JBA 1 is cool. First foray into the undercover gig and going into restricted areas etc.

Osh ... yeah that one. Fun and actually somewhat lengthy, would be a lot better if not for that damned sound bug.

Shanghai is my favorite. Beautiful, have to be very reliant on stealth, particularly when near your JBA 'buddies'. I also love the fireworks effect and how it lights you up in the doc's office when they go off.

JBA 2 ... it's not every day you can get Sam laid for all his hard work protecting America during the first 3 SC's.

Cozumel was pretty and was fun, though felt it could've been more 'involved'

JBA 3 is alright, but the undercover bit starts to get a little redundant by now

Kinshasa = good times. Somewhat reminds me of a daytime Seoul, but tougher IMO.

JBA 4 ... pretty cool, tense, and has IMO one of the most difficult choices to make.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Heh. DA is awesome.

But (no offense, just getting to the point) if u said that the maps are linear and have only 1 route to take, boy are you wrong.

Take shang hai for example, when u go to Dr. Aswat's room, you can choose to climb all the way up to some plat form in the lobby and ride on top of the elevtors adn get in really stealthly or you could just take the elevator and get a qhole bnch of hotel security on you. Both of them have checkpoints, (i my opinion) amazing.

And on the ship?

There are more than one locations to plant them smoke bombs.

On and by the way, on JBA 2, y'all keep talking about some really steamy stuff. All i got was fisher and enrica making out and the the mission completed screen flashed on. Am i missing something coz of family settings or smthing?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yeah that's all it is .. I seriously doubt there's any hot coffee mod or anything. It's just an 'implied' thing.

It's worth it too since you dont have to fool around with the pilot's body or the mine assembling if you just go straight to Emile's, crack his safe, then slip out the balcony and into Enrica's place.

Jeez that last sentence sounds wrong on so many levels http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Couldn't you apply that to most situations? Just barge through http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif? I only play stealth will no kills or knocouts so I can only really comment on my approach and while I thought about using the elevators, it wasn't going to work for me. What score did you get with that approach http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I'm comparing to CT, where there were multiple ways through most missions (both stealthy but one more easy than the others). There was replayability in this as I missed a fair number of routes the first time through.

Still, I'm very happy to be told there are alternative routes through these missions - it might even stop me trading it in if I think it's worth it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

[highlight the blank section below to reveal the spoiler]

For example, in Shanghai there <span class="ev_code_BLACK">is a route to bypass the hacker (not that you really need to)</span> . It's those sort of things that seem to be missing from the game.

I really enjoyed JBA3 because I had collected no profile information at all in JBA1, a small amount in JB2 and nearly everything in JBA3. Others may have collected more stuff in 1 and 2 so I can understand if it was getting repetitive by 3. Plus 3 had some great timing moments to avoid people.

I missed the Enrica scene entirely so I'll have to play that one again.
