The characters chosen so far are great, the technodrome was added, and you can even unlock cool bonus stuff. I'm starting to think we WILL see some classic characters in this game! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've had a good feelings of this game since I heard "Ex-Smash Bros Brawl developers and Ex-Team Ninja developers making 2.5D 4-player TMNT fighting game!" I just thought "Oh snap, it's like a dream! How could that go wrong!?" xD

I've had a great feeling for this game ever since these very same guys revived my nostalgia for TMNT.
The game looks like a blast to play, the levels are incredible, the battle system looks deep.
Sure, I have some minor problems with it such as how the heck Fugitoid can fight, or why they used the watered down version of an already watered down Karai. And Rabbid of course.
But those minor problems don't even hold a candle to the hype I'm in for this game.
The playing modes are interesting, the story mode looks cool in its comic-book style.
And the character variety gives the game major points in the quality department. (Fact that there's no clones).
The only thing I need to know about the game now is about the music, I've only heard the one from the train level and it sounds pretty cool.
Would be awesome if the devs put up samples of the songs used in the levels. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Where did you hear the song for the train level? I haven't heard that yet.

In the official site, when the characters are being shuffled. One of the character combinations lead to a fight on the train.
I think it was Leo, Don, Shredder and April.
The music could be somewhat heard, I tried comparing it to "Bury my shell and wounded knee" song, but it was completely different. At least to the SNES version.

it's mike, leo don and shredder with the train level.
but for me on the main page all videos have the same music tune.
did you realize that they are all very low in speed? i mean the videos showcased on this official site. the ones on youtube are quite fast. speaking about the youtube videos: i think there you can actually hear different tunes in the different levels on ubisoft's channel.
btw., why isn't there a link on this forum to get back to the main page? the navigation is a little uncompfortable.

I didn't notice that last part.
I'll have to check the videos out again, though the music's really hard to listen amidst all the chaos.
It's more likely to use some music from Turtles in Time Re-shelled rather than the original arcade or snes game, anyway.
The videos on the site have lower quality than those in the Youtube channel.

i'd like this tune to return http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

yet the music seems a little to low and not that special. that what we've heard. i hope they put in some really strong sound because that made alot of atmosphere in smash bros.

Well, what can I say, the original 80's tune was really, really catchy. That's why a lot of the Nintendo TMNT games use remixed versions of the main theme from the cartoon.
The one you just showed me is basically an 8-bit version of the main theme. Little to no remixing was done to it, but it's still awesome to listen to.
So yeah, hopefully we'll get to listen to that tune at some point in this game. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

well, i think in some points it is quite derived from the original cartoon theme. just remember the notes and text from the cartoon and you will notice the differences.
i especially like the beginning of the song, where that deep "duduadu" goes ^^
