They're switching off *archives* for "lack of activity"? I thought the point of an archive was to preserve... which kind of implies lack of activity...

I guess what they mean by "inactivity" then is that no one has added anything to the archives, such as collection of old/locked threads (can only be done by mods). (shrugs)
