New Georgia---Wii

Hi all,

I just joined the forum and see some other posts about this part of the game for PS3. I'm playing on the Wii.

Like others I'm having trouble keeping the 172nd alive while taking time to help the 169th.

Reading a thread for the PS3 version I see mention of the need to hit tanks near the 172nd. On the Wii version I don't see any red marked tank targets in this area but I have seen some in green (which has traditionally desiganted Allied forces). I noticed for the first time tonight as I flew over the beach to attack enemy bombers that one of those green tanks was shooting up at me! So, I let him have it. I didn't hear any "What are you DOING Captain!?!" comments and in fact heard, "Your target is destroyed!" after hitting another.

So, OK, I get it. Hit the tanks even though they aren't marked as targets like the cluster near the 169th.

I managed to get much farther in this battle than before, hearing pleas for help from two other divisions and the need to attack ships.

Yep. that was the only problem. Tanks near the 172nd were indicated in green. Once I wiped them out I was able to finish this segment and quickly move through Raboul.

Now I'm stymied by the Secret Mission through the ice canyon but I see a good thread that already offers advice...

Personally after attempting the ice canyon run (Shades of Luke Skywalker's Death Star flight!)a number of times unsuccessfully I'm getting bored with this segement and may follow the advice of some who shared the secret for unlocking all games. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well boys New Geogia has me stymied...When I get to the tanks I try and take out as many as I can, but no matter how many I destroy, that ominus voice says "Too late, they got away". WHO GOT AWAY!!! wHO DO I NEED TO KILL OFF TO GET TO THE NEXT STAGE. I SEE GROUND TROOPS THAT APPEAR TO BE RUNNING, BUT I GET ABOVE THEM AND THE ARE GONE....ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS....THANKS

Hi BADKARMA123,

Are you talking about tanks near the 169th or the 172nd? I spent a lot of time trying to take out a couple of columns of tanks on the side of a mountain by the 169th and kept getting that depressing message, "They're all gone" in reference to one of the Divisions I was supposed to protect.

Then I realized there were tanks near the 172nd that in my Wii version are highlighted in green as noted above. Once I took those out I only had to drop a few bombs on the tanks by the 169th before I was permitted to continue on with the game and bomb some ships.
