Cannot install IL-2 *Complete Edition* on Vista

Hello there,

I already waded through lots of posts concerning the installation of *1946* on Vista, and tried to apply the instructions and hints to my *Complete Edition* (XP SP2 mode, run as Admin, etc.), however without result. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif When I invoke setup.exe from DVD, the program just terminates and that's it.

Somebody's got a clue on this?

Does the complete edition have an A.exe on the dvd somewhere?

No A.EXE. The DVD's root contains almost everything for the installation:

Have you tried both .exe's? Also did you try to install in either XP or win2000 compatibility mode?

Problem resolved. I also applied the aforementioned settings to setuppffbaep.exe and just ran it. After that the install went smooth. I was sure that I already had tried this ... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif
