Only thing i am not sure i am looking at is the Top Line of the Bottom Row above the Light Blue U-Boats.I think it says TauschKorper?
Whats that?

Year and DAM you can't upgrade deck gun's or stick one on a type11

Why does everyone like the II boat so much? Is it because it looks cute?

TooFastForLove.

I don't understand it either. They're small, slow, and don't have all that much fire power. I suppose people just like things that are cute. Thats why supposed "men" buy Honda Civics in droves here in North America.

Well, little boys with little toys...

Me? I want my Type IXD2, quad-20mm Flaks, and anyone that touches my deck gun loses their right to have fingers http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Lots of reason's

1.Real gamer's like the real challenge.
2.start at the begining so you have lots to look forward to.
3.Minimum firepower means more satisfaction from a kill(killing a deer with a bow weapon is far more satisfactory than with a scoped rifle)
4.Keeping it simple at the start so you can consintrate on the tactics rather than the gadgets!

To be honest with you i can't belive people who want to start with a V11C or 1X or even a XX1,your hardly likely to want to go backwards,so you shorten the life span of the game.
Also, with the more advanced sub's its all laid on thus taken the enjoyment out of it(i would expect to kill with a XX1)but a kill with a type 11 will be remembered!
Starting with the basic gear means you can look forward to earning and upgradeing, and SEE the difference, when you get it.
Having only five torpedoes at hand means, you will take greater care to pick only the worthy target's and be gutted if you waste one.
When you move up to a V11,you can take your 22 trained crew with you and add them with noobie's,this will be cool as you'd be familiar with half the crew, not to mention the complete different feel of a V11(unlike changing from a V11B-V11C.

Starting with a more recent u-boat loaded with gear is like starting ROME TW with all units availible, boaring.

Anyway each to his own i guess.

I want to start the campaign in 39 in a Type II no matter what, I'm just surprised some people want to keep it so long. I bet some would want to keep patrolling in a Type II into 1945. That's what I can't understand.

BTW, have you ever gone hunting with a Scoped Rifle, a lot more difficult than you think.

BTW go hunting with a Compound Bow.
Give up the point and shoot!
Learn some skill!!
Where the slightest of underbrush will deflect yer arrow and send it o'er the horizon or into the dirt. Anywhere but its intended target.

Guns Schmuns!!
No talent except in their finger!

I've been hunting with both, and in the mile plus altitudes of Colorado, making a 600 yard shot across a valley is anything but easy...

1) Pressure
2) Wind
3) Distance
4) Rotational Drift

And the 1st shot has to come down right across the "plates" otherwise you have a REALLY long hike ahead of you.

Gave up gunnin fer deer, varmint, squirrel and rabbit.

now its all down to My Jennings Gale Force and my skill.

Of course my mossberg still is in factory condition but is only used fer new years eve here in the country! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
cant help it: I AM Errol Flynn @ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

I was on a Russian Kashin destroyer when they launched a full barrage of 192 RBU-6000 Rocket Depth Charges (Hedghogs on Steroids), I wonder how many fish we killed.

@Poacher,
I think you get a renown bonus for kills gained in a type II as well (at least I have read this somewhere!)

lol taking a type II to war is like entering the grand prix with a 3 wheeler. Im going for the workhorse of the Navy, VII.

Though if the flotilla i choose only have II then i will roll with it for a bit. But i will have to wear a bag over my head while sailing it around http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
