View Full Version : stuck at opening screen

Hello, I just bought From Dust off Steam today after I heard about the upcoming patch to remove the DRM.

I successfully log into the Ubi-Thingy, the game launches I see the logo and then a screen with a panning camera view moving back and forth. This is the third time I've tried launching the game and this time it has been sitting there for 38 minutes. My internet connection is stable and I' am receiving no errors.

How an I resolve this?

I had this same problem. Except the first time I ran this game it did this, and I had to use control alt delete to get it to close. Once I did this I went to try the game again. This second time it also asked me for my key-code, and I entered it and it told me that this key-code was already bound to another account. This same key code worked the first time, and now I cant even get to the game because my key-code will not work. I sent this to the support team about 2-3 days ago, but still haven't received and information. Is all hope lost?

Sorry you're having problems guys, if you haven't already please contact the support team via the link in my signature explaining what the issue is. Be aware they often send an FAQ as a first response as these often provide the solution. If the FAQ does not solve your problem reply to the existing ticket within 48 hours to ensure they're able to continue helping you as promptly as possible http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Thanks, I did post it in the support topic. In two hours it will have been two days since I originality posted. I still haven't received any messages from the support team. Did I do something wrong, or are they just really busy?

A first response is usually within 48 hours, it is unusual to have not had one by now. This may seem like a silly question but you have checked your spam filter and spam box?

If you're email is set up to accept Ubisoft emails and you havent had one try updating the existing ticket. If this still hasnt received a response please contact me in PT (you can do this by selecting my name to the left, in the menu select to send me a private topic)

Ok, thanks. I updated it, and if I do not receive a response by this time tomorrow I will contact you. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, my problem was resolved with a reboot. After I started up again this time my game received a Steam update and it went to the menu right away. Then I got engrossed in the game and forgot to come back. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
