Free 1-GB flash drive (http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,139088-c,sites/article.html)

1. Head for Buy.com.
2. Add one Kingston flash drive to your cart.
3. At the Checkout page, click on the Google checkout option to get the $10 discount.
4. Make sure you choose budget shipping--which is free.

I just placed an order for mine, and it wound up being absolutely free.

My receipt shows $0.00 paid, but my credit card was charged $1.00 by Google. So weird.

LOL, I keep signing up repeatedly with a new email and get the $10 google discount. Comes in handy since I buy Dual Layer DVD+Rs and xbox stuff from there some. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

This is why I love my Google Desktop Sidebar. My sidebar displays an analog clock, notepad, and RSS newsfeeds - which is how I just happened to learn about this freebie.

wow so i go to the web site to get the free thing and i get a message

"We're sorry, one or more of the items in your basket do not allow the use of this service."

WTF?

Yeah that's what I am afraid of. I got one email (from Google Checkout) showing that my receipt was $0.00. And then got a second email (from Buy.com) saying that some coupons can not be used with Google Checkout and that my total is $10.00. So I am totally confused. Right now, my card is showing a one dollar charge. Me no likey.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I didn't have any problems when I did mine. It might have something to do with where live, or maybe you've already used Google to purchase items before? From what I understand, it's a freebie for new customers.

Nah, I've never used it, so the coupon should apply to me. I'm not too worried cuz at this point I've only been charged a buck. If it jumps up to $10, then I will dispute it and WIN.
