Does anyone happen to have a colour for the interior airframe pieces of a prewar RAF Gladiator? I mean the inside of the flaps etc. I have Googled my brain out, but I haven't found any sites or pictures that show this. Thanks. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well the shuttleworth one in Silver dope finish has them in what appears to be silver, which seems about right for a doped finish. you tended to paint fabric in red dope to tauten it, then add a coat of silver dope on top of that to prevent light rotting the fabric and to protect it from mould etc, after that the camo would have been applied, but the likes of the flaps would normally of been up when the camo is painted on....hope that helps, so internally as inside the cockpit you would tend to see the red dope, externally the silver,

That is excellent, thankyou for the info and links Tony! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif I think for matter of simplicity I will use a neutral greyish silver colour for the interior flap pieces. I saw those photos of that particular Gladiator, just not that shot with the flaps down. Thanks again m8 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Instead of a new thread, I thought I'd show what I have thus far since the last time I put some shots up. This thing is taking forever and there is alot left to do, but I am ecstatic how it is turning out so far. I think if it turns out really well I will upload a template for it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That really is looking superb, you want to edit your first post title on this thread to say you have WIP pictures inside to increase the audience http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks m8's. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I'm moving next week and once everything is settled I can finish it up hopefully soon after. Plus I will have cable! I might finally be able to fly online again lol. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
