I feel wierd talking about these in refence to Consoles, and atm, I am only talking about my PS3 experiance so far...
With more details in thread "Dis-connects @ Start..." I am thinking a lot of the waiting and DC issues are Cache related, due to this being the first day hadn't done my routine, and it ALSO being first day I haven't got into a 1 v 1 in around 90 seconds.
Don't really know if this will actually help, but might put a nw light on things...
