Hello! I represent the Assassin's Creed branch of the Unofficial Ubisoft Signature Design Group. Right now we're expanding to other parts of the forum to gain more members and give more people awesome signatures! If you are a part of a design group then these sigs are nothing special, just my opinion.

If you don't want one from us, no one is making you. We're simply trying to expand and since the mods said we could (and kimi requested a sig a bit earlier) we thought we'd give the GR:FS thread a try. Although a lot of people here seem to be pessimistic from the threads I've read...

look at your signature pilske. No use of alpha channels. It's merely a box with some effects taught in PS 101 that most people move on from. That box takes people out of the immersion of the sig. It becomes less real and more tacky. That's why one of the basics we teach at the design group is to lose boxes. Make shapes and add alpha channels. take a look at Zeejay's work up there. or Rocketxsurgeon. She didn't get the bottom quite right, but she certainly escaped the box. And while some are boxes now, those members have learned to not do square signatures anymore and give them more of a flare. we might not be "something special" but we certainly love what we do and we try to learn as much as we can

Don't worry, that was a preview (a large one at that). You all get to see the finished, fit-for-Ubisoft's-60KB-limit one once it's done. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Its not just the filesize limit but the actual size, but if thats the preview size I'm sure the final article will be within the rules.

Might be worth making a note when posting any preview that the final size will be smaller, avoid any confusion in the future http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I study design at University so I think my points may be valid.

It seems as though half the sigs on here have random photoshop effects applied to them which have no meaning or significance what so ever.

Try to be more minimal in your design, strip away all off the stuff that is not need yet still keeping the essential elements.

I hope you dont mind adding green and red goggle flare (you know the glow that you see in game)

Red for Kestrel and Green for Archer.

Also..theres one of Sam Fisher in sepia...could you add a 'Conviction' in there somewhere

Just an image that makes it clear that I'm primarily a GR player; a GR soldier or the GR skull logo, and a blue colour to the sig. All the Foxes have AI colourFOX gamer tags and our sigs have always had a colour based on that.

I like zeejay's suggestion of elegant, less busy sigs, and not being a box. Like that a lot.

What's up just joined Ubisoft. And saw this thread. Since I'm new I would really like a sig if you could. Doesn't have to be anything spectacular just something with skulls, question marks, the new ghost soldier with the bandanna, and my gmrtag unknownjrl. If anyone would. I'm not picky lol.
