Ok so i have a brand new
Hp Pavilion AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual core processor 4200+ and I upgraded to a 7800GT video card and i have 2048mb or ram and 300gb hard drive.
I installed the dual core optimizer and the hot fix.
And then i installed the game and i can play for a couple of seconds but then i see black blocks everywhere and the game freezes and my screen turns many different colors.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

what are you graphics settings at?
Also, have you tried to set your affinity to 1?

i set the ingame graphics to very low.
I turned the v-sync off and the skin mapping on and the dynamic image on.
What is affinity?
BTW this is for single player that i am having problems with.

the afinity changes the number of cores used by the program.
to change the affinity, once the game is running.. alt+tab back to the desktop and open the task manager. (either right click on the mennu bar at the bottom of the screen and select task manager. Or you can press alt+ctrl+del) Go to the process tab and find the process... its something like R6game or r6vegas_game ...once found, right click on it. there should be an option there to change the affinity.
This will set the game to "use one core" of your processor. I have heard a lot of people having problems with their game when running dual-core processors, such as yours. If this doesn't fix it, you can also try turning the skinning off to see if that does anything. Another thing to try is turning the VSync back on, to see if it gets rid of some of the black blocks.
