Description: Complete a level without firing a single shot and without retrying.

I understand that obviously you need to melee any enemies you do kill, but my question is, occasionally when you melee someone Fisher will shoot them once or twice to kill them instead of just breaking their necks...does this count as firing a bullet? If so, is there any way to be guaranteed of a melee only kill every time? (maybe grabbing as a human shield first then killing?)

Hold the down button and put your gun away before you do any melee attacks.

I am not 100% certain, but I would assume the bullet takedowns would count (another reason the knife should come back).

I'm pretty sure though that using 2 handed weapons such as assault rifles during a take down never fires a shot off.

I don't think hand to hand takedowns with weapons count, but to be safe, do what Stealthgamer suggested and put away your weapon.

You are a savior! Now I can finally start enjoying Conviction again.

It's fine if your pistol is fired during melee. Tested it myself on PC and received it. Still, you can holster your weapon if it irks you.

People actually don't know this? I'm amazed. I spend 90% of my game time with my gun holstered(Only fire if absolutely necessary.) I'm surprised more people haven't found this out already.

I actually holster my gun when I play my Extreme Stealth Hunter challenges. Killing 32 people without being detected with only 20 bullets and no reloading is quite challenging =_=

Pff...LOL! Are you kidding me? I've played entire hunter maps with only melee and gadgets with no (real) detections. As soon as you use a gun in Splinter Cell Conviction it instantly becomes too easy. Mind you, I only play on realistic(Never played on anything else).

I may have found the easiest method of getting Advanced Close Combat. At the Lincoln Memorial hide behind the fence/railing closest to where the Secret Service agent arrives to pick you up. The guards are so intent on searching the cafe that they never bother to look around the outside area near the bridge.

Note that you cannot get Advanced Stealth here since you will be spotted by the Police at two points during the chase.

Great. Have you done an entire run without using a continue? Because that's what's required of this one, mostly concerning Mozdok's 4 8-person maps in a row.

Well I never play Mozdok, but yes, I have gone through that map without continuing, but I believe I used the gun at points.

If you want to get that achievement though, you shouldn't be doing it in Deniable Ops anyway. Do it on Kobin's Mansion in Single Player.

I've already gotten the achievement. I'm currently beating all the Hunter missions with one magazine per weapon stash. The 4 zones with 8 people apiece don't have stashes in between them, so I only can use 20 bullets. I can definitely gun my way through with no problems, but to melee so many people in such a tight space presents a very interesting challenge.

I did Lincoln Memorial too to get this one. When the back-up arrives stay in the toilet till your car is there to pick you up.

No one will check the toilets and it's as close as you can get to your car anyway so when it's there it's a very short run. No one will notice.

For Advanced Stealth I did the Washington Monument mission, took me somehow 5 attempts (and like 5 failed attempts) regardless of the fact no one saw me, I was sure of that...

Advanced Stealth I pulled off on a Hunter mission. Easiest one to do it on would be Embassy, IMO.
