I mostly play il-2 for it's pvp.
Currently the games are hosted by a community of private servers via Hyperlobby.
Will the game developers host their own servers in COD? Or gain leave it to the player base.
Will ground strafing be allowed?
How are pvp games won or lost (death match, points, blowing up ground targets)?
Will there be air starts?
Will they be axis vs allies?
will they be limited to certain years?
Is there a leveling system for better planes, moduals, crews, abilites, etc. Or is it going to be a deal where everyone only flyies the best planes?
Is there an economy? Meaning do the better planes cost more like they did in real life?
Thanks!

Yes for two teletubbies you get a PZL P.11
for two teletubbies and a ernie you get a Avia B.534 and if you are real lucky for three teletubbies and a bert you get a Boeing P-26 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif

Well if you play IL-2 right now I believe you know most of the answers here. I doubt that we'd see any hosting from Ubisoft when the dedicated server community is very well established. Given the niche market that it's in establishing several regional severs for playing IL-2 on would probably be not worth their while.
Plus half of the experience is on the map work that each server has time dedicated towards developing.
I'm seriously doubting seeing something as game-like as an economy. Although an interesting and fun feature in some games, IL-2 strays more to the side of simulation and so we won't be seeing unlockable planes or any of that sort of arcade like stuff.
Also not every server will find all of the pilots flying the best plane available. That tends to happen on some but not all servers. Many more experienced pilots will intentionally take the worse aircraft in the set and use their strategy, tactics and overall skill level to defeat the enemy despite the aircraft granted to them. The irony here of course is that everyone starts off wanting the best and progresses into the more interesting but lower performance aircraft later.

You'll get a new room in HL. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
I seriously doubt that the Ubi will provide anything better than the old Ubi lobby was.
