I have always wanted to do that ever since the last mission on the original splinter cell, where Sam is confronted by three special ops agents equipped with night vision. If it wasn't for Grim shutting off the lights for a split-second, similar to the recent gameplay we saw at X 10, I would have been dead meat. It was really hard to kill them, and I found myself wishing I was an awesome bad-"donkey" who could kill them all in a matter of seconds. Now I can, I hope. Does anybody know if we will actually be able to do this in game? If so, I will take all those fools out when they try to stop me from getting revenge on Kobin. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I bet Splinter Cells aren't allowed to be Marked.

Even the colleagues of splintercell don't know what to do with this game...

My guess is that they bring up some clap-trap reason that they can't be seen with the sonar goggles.
Better be a good excuse, ubi. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Interogating a Splinter Cell would be kinda cool.

I am sure we will interrogate a Splinter Cell. Perhaps Hisham? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Judging by the standard at which Archer (their "best agent") is trained, Splinter Cell operatives are pretty lame in this game.

LOL. Don't hate on Archer just because he has absolutely no field experience according to some viral marketing campaign. That doesn't mean that he ain't fit to be a splinter cell. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I like to think of Archer as Ben from the Conviction novels. The brief info we received on Archer does injustice to the character, sure, but I am not gonna let that bother me while I'm playing deniable ops...

Well it bothers me, that the writers in this game could even consider someone with 18 months of training a top Splinter Cell field operative, when you consider that there's a whole possible selection of a countries entire roster of spec ops vets, who probably have 18 YEARS of experience that would offer a much more intriguing character to play.

It's lazy or just plain ignorant writing, I can't decide which until I've played the game.

But it's certainly not good or enriching to the story.

DUDE. I hope you can still mark and execute them, but it is just harder because they can see you too! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

exact quote from magazine "These guys are a nightmare later on in the game, the third echelon agents in full sam fisher gear hunt you with sonar goggles, making shadows and concrete walls usless cover. They are only a small part of the game but rest assured when you hear the high pitched whine of the goggles being fired up its a game changer"

also the game is content finshed but just full of little bugs that will take longer than 4 weeks to fix so only about 6 to 7 weeks to wait now!!

I have but it never occurred to me that other splinter cells would have it too. I know it sounds dumb, but I thought Victor Coste was the only dude with access to high tech equipment. But now that I think of it, Archer and Kestrel also use it, so obviously other splinter cells have access to it too.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

lol. Sam runs into Kestrel and gets him in a chokehold. Then interrogation ensues..."hey Cole slaw, cleanin up trash for the rusky's again?"

Kestrel: "We are not cleanin up trash for the rusky's, we are maintaining regional stability"

Yeah, if you get spotted that would make sense. But if they don't see you, you should still be able to land a M&E. Hopefully... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
