Well i know most of you don't like the new Jade
I know i didn't like it much but comparing the pics i noticed smtng: the new outfit suits her better( considering someone on a difficut mission) but the opening of the demo send me laughing on the floor. Boy you are sitting in your favorite place trying to relax and meditate and wearing your job (or as some call it G.I. Jade) outfit. As ,t was stated by the developers they have a poverful tool for changing the outlook of chars. So why not having her to cope with the intruders wearing her civilian (or old) clothes and going (adventuring http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif on that island mission w,th her business clothes? And please dont tell me its difficult im a game designer myself (even if only on a bit more than amateur stafe) and i know that this can be handled by a little clothchange sequence and a sawap of models.

BUt there is a a disturbing fact the old Jade's face was unique. Not another Tomb Raider clown or a she barbarian on the edge of raging. I belive the old face was much more better and going wrell with the concept of the game

Waiting for your needles(and daggers and vorpal blades and kendo stickshttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif boyz....http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I think this is a matter of personal preference. I like the new Jade AND the old Jade, each for different reasons, and I figure that they changed her look for good reason, not just on whim. She was, afterall, somewhat cartoony looking and, while I don't mind that in the slightest, this game seems like its supposed to be a distinct departure from the developers first big series (Rayman which was everything cartoony).

Furthermore I still think she's unique looking among female video game heroines. The short hair is a rarity, the fact that she's dressed in a cute but not stupidly revealing way, and the expressiveness of her face (in my mind only matched by some of the cut scene faces from certain Final Fantasy games) make her look very striking.

As for the clothes, I think that's kind of part of her persona and it wasn't jarring to me that she was wearing that while meditating. She's a video game character, afterall, and in general its rare to see them change clothes anyway.

Again, personal preference rules the day. For what its worth, I think she's cool. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The way the action picks up, at least at the beginning, it seems like she wouldn't have much time for changing clothes if the game continues at that rate. Her "active lifestyle" doesn't seem like it would leave much time for playing dressup anyway. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
