Since I HAVE to enforce this now...

Please read the stickie note at the top of the forum ('Universal Ubisoft Forum Signature and Avatar Limits (1/23)'). It describes what the signature size maximums, both for images and for text. ?I've noticed a few in here since I've come back and I don't want to send PTs or single out people in the fora. So I am trusting you all to do it on your own accord. If I still notice some things still lingering around, then I'll do PTs.

(Psst! Don't be scared of me! I really am nice... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif )

Just for comparison - is yours the exact measurements they are asking for?

I am asking because I looked up my sig in Photobucket, and it said something like 400x100. I notice mine is longer than yours, so if yours is the longest they are allowed to be, then I am in trouble. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Apparently, you didn't check out the stickie... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Here is a visual of the dimensions:

lol - I did check out the stickie, but have no idea how to tell how big it really is. As my post states, I looked up Photobucket and the 400x100 is what I am thinking is the pixels (doesnt help when one is illiterate in this area!!) so I was going on yours.

EDIT: I was actually trying to compare the visual in the sticky to my sig, but it was very difficult when clicking on their post and then mine. Having the visual just above has helped me compare the sig when on the same page. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Here's what I do:
Right-click the image in question. Select 'View Image'. You should be able to see the image alone in a separate window. People usually do this to insert pictures in a thread in order to get the link.
Look at the title of the page. It will not only give you the name of the image, but in parentheses it will have the dimensions.
Check out the image below: see what I'm talking about? According to your image, it's 413 x 109, which is good.

If you right click on the image, select properties, it will tell you the size. this has one extra advange over speedy's way, the properties also give you the image size in KB. As long as the proerties are under 500x150, 60KB you are fine.

I started out explaining but PaperDragon put it out there already clear as day. Here's a picture, anyway. Windows doesn't have the option of View Image like Mac does - only Properties. That's typical of Microsoft - they use a vague phrase for commands where Mac is blunt - what do you want to do? Oh. View Image. Okay...click here.

Oh, I keep forgetting that not everyone has a Mac. Thanks you guys. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yeah, right clicking and selecting properties (usually at the bottom of the menu that pops up on most OSes) works better than eyeballing it or singling it out in its own window. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'm pretty sure I meet up to the new forum rules...

Jahura, your 'click here' isn't a hyperlink.

I think what she was doing was more of the train of thought someone goes through when they are using a Mac to find the properties of an image.

It isn't meant to be, Toz.

Also in light of the restoration that is currently going on, double signatures in posts are also breaking forum rules. I will be enforcing that to new posts for now on (I know it seems trivial but I need to cover all bases).

Hey, my favorite signature wouldn't work under the new 500x150 limits. It was 530x80. Here it is:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v85/Chuckles58/TOTC/TOTC_title.jpg

That wasn't a signature by the way.

You could probably reduce that slightly, Chuckles, and have it work. It's a lovely banner. Very nicely done!

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif Chuckles, the sigs have always been 500 x 150, it's just now the mods on high want them to be enforced. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

So much for a sequel. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

The way I see it, my TOTC banner was much shorter than 150, so the size was only 42400 square pixels (530x80) which is much smaller than the maximum of 75,000 (500x150).

I rest my case, besides TOTC has been finished over two years now.

Marae, thanks. I had some help with the titling and superimposing of the conch shell. You don't want to see what it looked like before my Good Samaritan fixed it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

And here I went and resized it.

It does, Chuckles. I think you should use it. It's a wonderful sig! And it was very nice of Jahura to resize it for you; be a shame to waste that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
