I am so tired I don't know what he is talking about but, when I was playing SC: DA when I was first disarming the bomb that was with Emile and that swat team broke in I thought that it was team rainbow at first.

Third Echeleon. I'm not a fan of SC is that a big part of it? I'm just asking this because i've heard references of Third Echeleon before but it was in Halo 2 so it might just be a fleet squad reference in general. But if it is big let me know

Ye there is a reference to third echelon in the game at the end but that is just because that is where the Ghost's got their information from on the launchers. Tell me the relevance of this little name drop to this?

What the Echelon is (in real life):
http://fly.hiwaay.net/~pspoole/echelon.html (http://fly.hiwaay.net/%7Epspoole/echelon.html)
In the greatest surveillance effort ever established, the US National Security Agency (NSA) has created a global spy system, codename ECHELON, which captures and analyzes virtually every phone call, fax, email and telex message sent anywhere in the world. ECHELON is controlled by the NSA and is operated in conjunction with the Government Communications Head Quarters (GCHQ) of England, the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) of Canada, the Australian Defense Security Directorate (DSD), and the General Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) of New Zealand. These organizations are bound together under a secret 1948 agreement, UKUSA, whose terms and text remain under wraps even today.

Just to clear things up for yall:
In splinter cell, third echelon is an agency of some sort that gives the main character (Sam Fisher) his orders.
About the reference in GRAW 2: when you're in the US border town driving around in the vehicle, the guy you're talking to an cross-com says something like..Third Echelon thinks these nukes are a genuine threat. He didn't say that exactly but it was something along those lines...just a minor mention about TE giving an assessment on something. What puzzles me though is that TE is supposed to be a secret organisation, but then the ghosts know about it...then again maybe there's this network that unites all US secret organisations http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
