No matter how much Bill Gates pays you to try to drag us all over to the Xbox platform, by pulling stunts like this one and GR2, I for one will not be going.

SO EITHER RELEASE PC GAMES OR FORGET MY MONEY.

Are you aware that grin asked for more time? What if ubi soft said no and we would get an un-finnished game? Raven Shield anyone?

GRIN asked for more time? yeah i think NOT
UBI needs more time to release the PC and Xbox360 games all togther and you never know...
Bill gates has More $$$ to buy out UBI EAgames and yahoo all at the same time and not even dent the bank account. lol so you never know what bill gates and uBi are trying these days
from what i remember... a while back bill gates said he wanted to take the PC gamers to his new toy the So called Xbox... wich is just a little box that sucks... i will never play with a **** joy stick.

UBI_razz was referring to the xbox360 team requesting more development time, not Grin.

GR2 PC was not developed by GRIN and they have requested more time, so it's not ready.

I read it as he is refering to GRIN.

All development teams have requested more time, GRIN included.

Yep, and I'm counting the extra time for a GR/PC release from the last GR release. I figure that's about 4 years.

It seems to me it has been like 10 years since GR1 came out. I haven't enjoyed any other multiplayer game (considering all game genres) like i did enjoy playing GR1. I'm done with the whole FPS genre if GR:AW doesn't deliver the GR1 gameplay, seriously.

I'm with FURY on this one. I'm still mad as He!! that they lied to us about GR2, and now are lying again. I would rather release the game, and then come out with a patch 2 months later.

You'd prefer Ubisoft to rush out something that's buggy, unfinished, and a pain to play, then send out a patch a full two months later to try and get the game into a state worth playing?

Nope, don't believe you.

the past lot of games UBI have released that have been first set for a xmas release have been pushed back to feb or march release. So i wouldnt take that feb release as the final, unless gheybox mess's up.

Well believe it. I would welcome a patch every month if possible, atleast that way, if there are cheats, i know they will fix them every month. When GR came out, a patch came out almost right away, hell, I remember 1.4, so patches are ok, just bring the dam game out.

Everything UBI has released since GR was buggy anyhow. What's the diff?

I have to agree with Razz on this one... the majority of gamers would receive a buggy game as well as they receive news of a delay... with sworn devotion never to buy another UBI product again. At least with the delay, if they finally do release a great game, chances are people will lift their bans and buy the game. But, if they release carp, personal bans will be fortified...

VSB1 is serious professional military sim (software) used by many military forces, including the USMC. It makes any tactical game out there look like Gameboy.

There are many add-ons and Mods as well. You can purchase a copy and play online, there's a decent community of tactical players playing VSB-1 Mods. GR.net has a dedicated forum discussing this military sim.

Again, I disagree here. People like my self would be happy, and only happy if there were bugs, and then they fixed it. So would I like to be playing GR3 right now, even though it's buggy, YES IF THEY WERE TO COME OUT WITH PATCHES.

The difference is, they dont feel like making any patches, or putting any more money into a game you already bought, so they can be hard at work on the next game to get more of your money. That is why they are waiting 2 months.

So Razz, release it now, aslong as they promise to come out with fixes/patches, but you and I both know, that will not happen.

You don't need the add-ons, the Mods are way better and it's free.

And BTW, you can get the full-retail version VSB1 for under 80 bucks at E-Bay (ive even seen it for $50), not a bad deal...

So where do you get this VSB1? Explain what you should get from it. Is it realistic?

WhiteKnight77
10-18-2005, 05:28 PM
VBS1 (http://www.virtualbattlefieldsystems.com/) is a military simulator actually used by armed forces around the world including the US Marines.

If you want it, get ready to pay a pretty penny for it though, it is not cheap.

AEG_GHOSTDRAGON
10-18-2005, 07:43 PM
Yes but on the site there are a whole bunch of CDs, which one would you recommend buying? Say that is, which one is like Ghost Recon, cause it looks like they have other forms of simulation, like air, artil, etc.

WhiteKnight77

Without the core VBS1 CD at $150, the rest will not work. The mission packs are $50 each.

Delta_Hoot
10-19-2005, 06:35 PM
You can get them cheap at E-Bay, though.

I've seen the original VSB-1 Cd with the USB key for under 70 bucks.

Yeah actually I would like to play a buggy game like BF2 to actually have something to play... Cause with UBI/RSE and there ****ty track record i dont believe a **** thing they say until there is something loaded on my computer to play. They did a pretty good job patching the first GR1 and no matter how much time they take to produce GR:AW it will need to be patched. The best way to create a product that everyone wants to play is for them to give the public a chance to test it. We "the true gamers" will be the only ones that can show UBI there mistakes and help with what needs to be fixed.

Let EA be a lesson to you guys, cause it took 3 patches in 5 months and they still dont have BF2 playing the way it should. Yet they have Thousands and thousands of people online day in and day out.

So give me a buggy game, least then ill know that they still know how to at least make **** for PC.

Codemasters who have said they will produce their own "Operation Flashpoint 2" (just to really confuse you).
