After beating the first SC on my computer which ran flawlessly, i was looking forward to the new edition. After 2 failed installation attempts, the 3rd one finally ended. I kept getting messages like "The file _____ does not match up with the cab file on your disc. please contact your vendor" I also kept getting windows errors saying "The disc volume is incorrect. Please insert SCPD disk 1" this was in the middle of copying files on the second disc somewere. Finally on my 3rd try i got a "Windows must close this program sorry for the inconvinence. would you like to send an error report?" I noticed the installation was still copying files in the background so i just moved this error message to the side and let the game finish. When it was all finished I started the game and after some strange loading then going back to the desktop and then back to the game again stuff, it started. I was imediatley dissapointed with the graphics which seemed much worse than in the first game which I played with the same exact config for my computer, but i figured it was my computer because i heard good reviews for this game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif. All of a sudden the more i moved around these huge neon beams and shapes were popping up everywere, very ugly glitches that eventually i had to stop playing because i couldnt see what i was doing any more, the whole screen was one giant mess of geometric shapes moving around as i moved the mouse. I exited the game and came here looking for patches but I see none. As you might have guessed I am a little dissapointed with this because i loved the first game. Here is a list of my computer specs if anyone feels like giving me any ideas. AMD Athalon 2600 XP, Nvidea Geforce 5600 FX ( listed as compatible with SCPT), 512 DDR, Windows XP pro, plenty of hard drive space and direct X 9. Splinter cell 1 ran flawlessly on this same config. I opend a "Game config and Diagnosis" application that came with SCPT and it said everything was compatable. Sry for the HUGE post but any ideas?

You cant make a blanket statment like that. I have both a LiteOn DVD, and a LiteOn CDRW, the game installed from the CDRW and ran fine with no problems.
What are you sysspecs?
Also, a note for EVERYONE, just becuase other games ran flawlessly does NOT mean that its "not your system".
