I'm new to the board and new to this game in general, but so far it looks like a very solid comcept and one that everyone has waited a long time for.
THe gaming world has been crying out for a realistic horror/survival fps with great graphics and in game physics. With the market saturated with completely ludacris spin offs like fallout and L4D, the essence of the survival game is dying.
I just hope that this game doesn't fall victim to the same problems as the others. Here's what I would like to see in this game.
-Open world gameplay, as many have said: Invisible walls smack you in the face with the mocking of unrealism. Lets make this as open world as possible with a ton of environmental interaction.
-Environmental interaction. Scavaging wreckage, the ability to force obstacles( within reason of course)((IE: breaking down a door with appropriate force)). A crafting system would also be nice, but once again it would need to be within reason. NO creating chainsaw bikes or anything or the sort. Simply being able to attach a flashlight to a shotgun would be great.
-Realistic physics. For me, nothing de-validates a games feel more than shoddy weapon physics. I like the weight and power of the gun or weapon to be accurately realized in the game (not just wildly spraying bullets everywhere like your arm is made of steel), the loading/ firing sequence should be authentic and ammunition should be hard to attain to further emphasize the element of survival.
-FPS!!!!I can't stress enough how much better this game will be as a FPS. It has a much more interactive feel, and when it comes to survival, it would create so much more authenticity when dealing with combat, interaction and viewing. This game is supposed to be gritty to the bone, and you need a first person perspective to realize and appreciate that concept. Having a character in the middle of the screen makes it look clumsy and forced and should be limited GTA. How many times has a good game fallen victim to it's 3rd person sloppy movement/combat physics? Lets keep this a FPS.
I'll add some more as I think of it.
Feel free to throw in suggestions guys.
I'm just giving my 2 cents and trying to make this game as a great as I see it potentially being.
