View Full Version : What's your age?

I've noticed that there are quite a few older types active in SH4 and on this forum. Age polls on other Sim Forums, specifically the IL2 FlightSim, have shown a somewhat surprising 'maturity' in the community...usually maintaining a classic "bell curve" profile.

I asked a similar question a few months ago... the members of this forum are more mature than the average gaming crowd.

OOPS! I didn't see your Poll. The results there fit my preconception....a third of the community are over 48 years old, give or take a year. Twelve percent are roughly 60 (59+ by your poll categories) or older!!!!! Less than 3% are teenagers.

Your poll was in April. I'll let mine run just to see what happens...

Oh by no means was I saying you shouldn't run another poll! I was just saying that I was interested in the age distribution as well.

I am interested to see if it changes any after 6 months. Most of the people my age have probably left for the latest game of the week. (CoD4, Crysis..... um, I have to go now.)

Please, Liddabit, don't ever mention your age, my poor old heart couldn't take it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I've been meaning to tell you I like your new sig. The lady in the sig looks familiar, is she somebody famous?

I'm starting to get depresed with these age poles.

You've got me hanging on the edge, Doolittle. Hanging between 55 and really old. That's not a pleasant thought. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Well, I guess I'm an oddball here- I'm a teenager, but I'm proud to say that I've stuck with a game that actually requires a lot of thinking (Silent Hunter) instead of playing what most teenagers my age play- the pointless and totally stupid "Vice City" and "Halo 1,2,3,............" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Welcome aboard, Roach. You may be the youngster, but when it comes to SHIV we're all kids at heart. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
