I figured it'd be nice to have a database of all the weapons, vehicles, camo, etc... that have been seen in either the screenshots or the trailer.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the French Rafale fighter featured in at least one screenshot. By the way hello all! I'm new here.

Do you know which screenshot it was?
It's not that I doubt you, I just need confirmation.
BTW: Welcome.

This is the shot that I thought featured the Rafale. The main thing that got me were the elevators (I think that's what they're called) at the front of the plane near the nose. The Typhoon's have a very distinct downward slope, whereas those of the Rafale (and the plane in this picture) seem a bit straighter. I might be wrong though! lol

It looks like you're right about the elevators. But the fuselage looks like the Typhoon.
It's not really clear enough to be sure.

Yeah you're right, there's no way to tell for sure because of the lack of clarity. It would make more sense to include the Eurofighter in the game though, because there are quite a few European nations that are fielding it.

As one of the very few weapons that are actually built together by a number of European countries, it would make sense that they use the Eurofighter rather than the Rafale.
I think that the fighter makes sense that it can't be anything, but the Typhoon. However you guys make some good points about the angle of the "canards." The Rafale's canads seem to be straight as opposed to the Typhoon.http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:cqNswFvcGGFe3M:http://guybrush.files.wordpress.com/2006/07/sujet-rafale.jpg http://www.ff1.it/ff1/sezioni/Eventi/EFA/piccole/eurofighter1.jpg

Actually what you're calling elevators, I think are really called canards.

To me it looks like woodland pattern except they've used grey, black and white rather than green, brown and black sort of like this pic:

Although recent studies have found that using black in a pattern isn't smart since it sticks out and draws attention.

I guess in the future US infantry will have to wear annoying oversized buttpacks. As if MOLLE wasn't bad enough. MOLLE II is better, but ALICE is still a better ruck for jumping.
A nice feature would be some randomization of the equipment that soldiers are carrying. IE: One guy is carrying a bigger radio, another guy has a breaching kit, another guy has a folded up litter on his back. It would help us see our soldiers more as individuals instead of a bunch of politically correct faceless clones.
PS: The camo in the picture is not camouflage pattern in the current US Army inventory. Looks like a non-digitized cross between woodland BDUs and 3-color desert. I always figured that by 202 the US Army would be using a digital version of Multicam or something like that.

Add in a Eurocopter for the Euro Enforcers, and a Panavia tornado as well. For transportation add some austrian made Styers. For weapons some Glocks, since those are pretty much used by the police forces themselves...

If you can provide a screenshot related to the game with that equipment, I'd love to.
However, I thought that Steyr was a gun company; and Eurocopter was a helicopter manufacturer.

steyr is a gun company but he is probs rffering to the steyr aug a1 which is the most common, though it has been around for awhile now since the 80's if u were to use a steyr aug it would probs be a3 instead of a1, and yes eurocopter is a manufacturer but he's probs talking about the eurotiger.
just to add the steyr acr was aprototype submitted by steyr to the us for their potential replacement of the m16a2 but was knocked back since it didn't provide a 100% increase in performance which was baseline criteria that none of the guns provided.

Didn't mention that beign in the picture. I mention that as a must in the game. I'm not making comments on a game that hasn't even come out. Guess there'll be no problem in waiting right? I wish they add this hardware i mentioned. Besides i'm no gun wacko. Read to KJwhite he makes my point... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Hey dudes chill down, a whole lot more stuff may appear meanwhill , when is it february 2008? let's wait and chill... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I'm pretty sure the Eurocopter Tiger, as mentioned earlier, is in the picture of the European force featured in this thread. Cut me some slack if this has already been established. lol http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

What about the hardware to play the game itself. I'm probably wrong cause I may have misread this somewhare: Is an auricular mike actually a must?

No, the game can be played with the controller as well. The control scheme is supposedly something close to GRAWs.

by 2020 the army(atleast in current plans) would have the FCS program all up and running meaning multicam(which will never be digital, tis just hte way the pattern is designed) and etc.
the urban camo looks either just like what someone else said, woodland with shades of grey, or it may be one of htose olde tyme giant block camo patterns they had for OFW.
the thing that caught my eye in that picture though was that v-22/ch-47/c-130 lookin hybrid.

That's the V-44.http://media.popularmechanics.com/images/tb_0009STAVB-LEAD.jpg
See here:

They also had the V-44 in the Atari game: Act of War: Direct Action.
