Does anyone have any PS2 screenshots of SCDA? Like most Americans I don't have that much money to burn for a XBOX 360 or PS3 right now.

You can guess, have you seen the PS2 version of SCCT? It looks like my s**t! So it may be better or worse.

How do you know it's "most Americans"? Couldn't it be some Americans?

Fine. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif Like "some" Americans I don't have that much money to burn on a XBOX 360 or PS3 right now. Better? Now, without a word from those who look down on me and laugh because I still have a PS2 (video gaming is only my #4 hobby), does anyone know where there may be some PS2 screenshots?

Ps2 and xbox screens were the first screens to come for the game. try an "american" website then, like ign.com, 1up.com, gamespot.com. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Console games NEVER look as good as the screenshots you see online, because your monitor displays it at a much higher resolution than what your TV displays.

Thats why I'm getting a HDTV for my 360. NTM My dorm will be lacking of space and I can hang a HDTV from the wall.

Thanks for the screenshot, Chinese. The game still looks good, and I remember Ubisoft saying that the first screenshots revealed last year were actually from the PS2 version.

Also, hopefully this game will support higher res textures when PS3 is released.

I gots path of neo and it has normal mapping in it. BloodMoney was said by ign.com that the devs said it will feature env. map bump maps, and by the vids at gamespot it shows it does, you'l have to have DSL and downlowd it. It might not have it on charas(maybe it does though) but the evirnments do.

IMO that could be xbox, a possible ps2 shot would be the one where sam is going to shot a guy and a window shadow is in the background, the n-mapping in it looks lighter on charas is why. And ubi saying it them selves and P.O.N. I say that was a ps2 shot.

http://img.gamespot.com/gamespot/images/2005/346/926929_20051213_screen005.jpg

there it is^

there may be away to tell between the ps2 shots. If they just added n-mapping or the lesser envirnment b-mapping then they might use the same CT/PT shadow technology and therefor ps2 shots wouldn't show any self shadowing.

^^ lets just say it's ps2 for now as well as sam shows no self shadow

As for the last post......huh CT on xbox looks about the same. Actualy no it looks better then this lone shot.

PS. BTW I have more confidence that that shot is ps2 as ps2 when normal mapping even though I know it can go per-pixel(seen the doc showing the normal on ps2 through the image vector unit and GS shading together and the diff types of n-mapping)this shows goraunge shading(this is not it's name maybe i forgot it) or polygonal blocky shading, this shot shows that it's charas have still some guraunge shading along with the n-mapping while capable xbox shots show the more expencive and taxing per-pixel without goraunge shading n-mapping.

If you wanna know WTF im talking about type in aol or other search normal mapping on ps2 using vector units and find that doc.

Well, then where is this site based if it's not American? I don't get on this one much.

BTW, for whoever it was that asked, my other three hobbies are
1. Surfing
2. SCUBA Diving
3. Airsoft

Actually : PS2 Pandora Tomorrow did feature self shadowing on Sam. Technically it 1 upped SC1 on PS2 by alot.

This particular current gen screenshot : i'd say it's Xbox.
The shadowmap resolution seems way to high to be PS2 (see window casted shadow on wall).

The normal mapped wall is pretty much typifying for Xbox's modified Geforce3 chip. The PS2 version would either use a texturemap or the geo texturing.

Or theyed be smart and go for whats on path of neo. Also the shadow there on the wall doesn't look that high res, it actualy looks like from 24: the game or like path of neo. Actualy though the res for shadows are actualy the same about on ps2 and xbox. just that if a fence is being shadowed and the fence is farther away the shadow will be grainier, thats the way the shadow box resolution works. Also that wall looks just like from path of neo.

BTW no it did not self shadow, i mean like nose or arm from same man casted on him self. This shot shows none like pt and CT. Also you see the other guy has some blocky lighting on him still, while xbox shots don't realy show that.
