LAN games wont work!!!!!

Both computers see each other (sees the game) but the start game button does nothing? Whats wrong? The manual is useless, can someone tell me step by step how to get these LAN games working. It a farce the way the have done this!

on one of the two pc's you need to open a 2 player game, then the other pc needs to join that game. then you should be able to start
