Better yet, if possible, write a little about YOUR hero here!

Tell us why you think he/she is better than the half-baked Heroes that Nival could come up with!

Come up with your own Hero Specialty!

Since I'm a huge Necropolis player and I started this poll, I'll get the ball rolling with...

Kalidi
======
Faction: Necropolis
Hero of: Might
Specialty: Unholy Might (increases total damage done by 3%/Hero level)
Biography: Kalidi, as a child, suffered from a malignant disease that eats away at his flesh. Tormented by cruel jokes of other children, disgusted stares of other adults and tear-ridden looks of his parents, he left the village and sat in a thistle field nearby, literally waiting to rot. It is here where he met someone who changed his life forever; Sandro, the future Master of Necropolis. Sandro, in his late teens, saw Kalidi who was a few years his junior, quickly identified with the sad and dispirited boy. Kalidi confided in Sandro, the elder brother he never had, about his pain and fears. Sandro listened on, all the while fascinated at the disease which Kalidi suffers from and also at Kalidi's resilience in spite of the obvious muscle loss. Sandro then told Kalidi of his ambitions and his dreams to be nothing short of a king. And the key to that was immortality. Kalidi became his first, and most covert, follower. To become a Lich, Sandro had to find ways and means to decode Belketh's tomes. However, the ancient runes could be translated in many ways. Kalidi willingly volunteered to be Sandro's test subject despite Sandro's repeated disapproval and protests. Finally relenting in to Kalidi, Sandro performed a series of rituals that most closely resemble that described Belketh. Many times, Kalidi wavered on the borders of Death itself, stared it in the face, and came back again, getting stronger each time from the experience. At long last, Sandro found the key; a combination of minor necromantic relics that would bestow him the knowledge of Lichdom. Sandro crafted a crude phylactery, just in case he failed in the undertaking, and handed it to Kalidi for safekeeping. Bidding him farewell, Sandro set off on his journey that would be chronicled in Heroes of Might & Magic III: Shadows of Death. Kalidi, now with his magically and supernaturally augmented strength, is the final threshold of defence to Sandro's ultimate defeat, which would have happened if Kalidi had not single-handedly crushed many an adventuring parties in search of loot, glory and/or salvation from Sandro's ever-increasing powers. After the fall of Sandro's army due to a tactical advantage of the Alliance, Kalidi left his self-imposed prison to search for his god-brother and return his phylactery to him. This time, Sandro could carry the phylactery with him. Because this time, Kalidi would be with him. And he knows that when they are together, they will be the Heroes of Might and Magic. (Ahahaha...)

I had to go for the last option. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Personally I would have liked them to give us good enough heroes (name, design, balanced stats & skills) so that we wouldn't feel the urge of creating our own.

-I am completely aganist customising skills since its connected to balance.So its no wonder necropolis has many heroes starting with different magic schools and castle with very less.So no for that.

As for customising hero portraits and bios.I would have loved to but...In the WH40k Dawn of War the players could have done their own flags(I would have loved that too in Heroes 5)but some stupid people came and made Nazi flags and some offensive materials.So Nival should regulate them if these options are on.As for the specialities people shouldnt be able to change them.I hope more and more specialities come into the game by "official" ways.

I wouldn't call those guys who made Nazi flags stupid. Misguided maybe, evil probably, demented definitely. You could always create a flag with the Warped Swastika and a big red cross over it to show your resentment.

Without seeing the actual game yet (Being in US has it's disadvantages!) I would agree, I'd like in the future more heroes, balance, specialty, etc.. But we'll probably see some added soon I would guess.

Yes, of course. And I wonder why my polls always end up turning into a political/religious smorgasboard. Is it me?

How dumb, write a book if your're so anxious to get all of this out of your system. There's a reason magic factions have magic heroes and v.v.

or...

howabout...

Frstdtnt
=======
Faction: Necropolis
Hero of: Botchery
Speciality: Feeblemindedness (decreases initiative of own troops by 1 for every three levels)

Frstdtnt met with his mentor at the age of 16. They moved in and raised several adopted kittens (since after three years Frstdtnt realized he would never be able to give birth to any by himself). One day his mentor found a younger mate, and at the age of 78, Frstdtet went on a walkabout to explore the inner meanings of the world.
