Iâ´m in Mannheim and I wish I had my camera with me right now. I have never seen such huge snowflakes. Some of these are 5cm across or bigger. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

By the way,Trident, you do have something with "the rest of the world is wrong". In Canada, we used to drive on the left also but the Americans were driving on the right. When Americans would drive in Canada they caused many accidents. The government in Canada decided it was easier to change our system than to train the Americans. This was just before WW1.

Before WW2 most of Europe drove on the left but Hitler posted signs in the countries he occupied saying "Rechts Fahren"(Drive Right). After the war, no one changed back to the old ways. That also might have something to do with the American forces in Europe. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I've got it! I've been to the UK many times (presented a study at Oxford the last time in 2003). But I never pass up an opportunity to make a joke.

My brother lived there for a few years with an American made car. Try sitting in the passenger seat on a narrow road...it's unnerving http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif You get the impression you are going to run right into the car coming at you! I yelled at a tight curve near Stonhenge...of course my brother was driving like a maniac also! Love the round-a-bouts too, especially after a few ales (as the passenger, of course, getting dizzy!).

Some of the round-a-bouts are cool. Sometimes i challenge myself to see how fast i can drive round them without my *** sliding into the passanger seat http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif .

Not that i have a fast car, but you can get up to some good speeds on the country roads as long as you can hold your nerve on them, they do tend to get a little narrow in places. Though they are great for driving like a maniac as you know.

What did you think of the good British ale then silent O. Did you try any proper country pubs, they're great in the summer. OOO its friday night tonight aswell, think i'll be going out for a couple of ales myself, but i'll probably stay away from the Stella, so i can remember what i did the night before http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Stonhenge

Its not Stonehenge ...its Steinhänge http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I loved this title on "the Sun" i believe. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

They found this germanian man buried in the near of stonehenge. His body has the same age as Stonehenge.

They assume that he was someone very important , maybe a king or something and that there is a connection between him and Stonehenge.

It was probably build for him or build by him. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I believe the only possible event that would have been more shocking for britain would be a french man http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I can imagine the faces.... "Thats the end of the empire ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif " http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yes, the Sun loves to play on words, don't think you could count all the puns in the average copy of the Sun. They shovel so much **** in the sun, yet it's the best selling newspaper in the UK. That may have something to do with the new set of tits on page 3 everyday http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

As to the body by stonehenge being French, i agree to your assessment http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif and if that did come to pass, the information would probably be buried in an impregnable vault buried deep below MI5 headquarters http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Is this another conspiracy for Wilhelm http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

We have the same kind of newspaper here called the "Bild". They have the tits right on page one. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Would Winston Churchill still be alive he would had ordered the demolishing of Stonehenge in an fast SAS night operation right after that burial site was found. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Then building a nice parking lot on it and forget that this place ever existed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

And normally the last page. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

The best issue of Bild(Last summer) was when Hitler was on the front page and the headlines read that he didnâ´t pay his taxes. Thank god for historians. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

That was a classic.

By the way my brother was driving we could have knocked over all the Stonehenges for the British. I could see the headlines in the Sun for that. The funny thing is, we never stopped there, as my brother said..."it's just a bunch of rocks" and we drove on into the night.

I drank mostly Boddington around where my Brother lived (Wiltshire). I forget what we were drinking in Oxford...it was all good.

Just like Germany, you can always walk to a Pub in the UK. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Here in the USA, you have to get on the internet first, print out directions, find the right exit off the interstate and lay down your VISA to get a drink! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

Beats the sun hands down, you should see another paper here in the UK. It's called the Daily Sport, and i can tell you, it hardly has any sport in it, talk about the boobs on the front and last page, it has them on page 1, 2, 3.......

Ahhh Boddingtons, nice pint of bitter, i prefer lager. Pubs are central to socialising here in the UK but we have our fair share of problems, which is causing a Government crackdown on "binge drinking"

Would love to visit Germany, will prob get round to it when i get my new job. The Germans do like there beer http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Britain is a civilised place to live, and i was only joking in the first place, there really is no issue with which side of the road you drive on. After all it really doesn't matter does it? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
