Ok so does the new patch fix the save game problem where you get stuck and can't proceed? I can't tell from the discussions so far.

Ubi says it greatly ''reduces'' it..

The problem with the corrupt save bug is that a) not everyone experiences it, and b) people experience it in different parts of the game. Which would make it much more difficult to isolate the problem.

My guess is that they took care of the areas where most people were experiencing the corrupt save bug, but they can't guarantee 100% that it won't happen anywhere else.

THE reason I sticked to 32bit, got Vista as well, no crashes, works perfectly.
You guys should have done some research BEFORE getting a 64bit OS system.
check this out:

Windows Version

Windows XP 32 bit 60.96%
Windows Vista 32 bit 25.49%
Windows Vista 64 bit 10.15%
Windows 7 64 bit 1.14%
Windows 7 0.83%
Windows 2003 64 bit 0.82%
Windows XP 64 bit 0.32%
Windows 2000 0.17%
Other 0.13%

This is from the most recent Steam Hardware Survey, analyzing no less then a few million gaming rigs.

64bit Vista - 10%
A year or 2 ago it was much less, maybe just 2-5% (when the game was developed)

Obviously, developers dont put too much effort into optimizing games for Operation Systems which are not used by so many people.

Although 64bit is picking up, fast, expect issues with an OS that is "rarely" used!

It will get better, but you get my point!

Again, I feel happy I investigated to wether take 32bit or 64bit enough and made the right choice http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
32bit, for now...

Uh, yea. I doesn't have anything to do with Vista 64.

I run in DX10 mode with Vista 64 and don't have any issues.
