Yup, apparently its slowly dying XD

SO what should I do, just keep playing it until it completely dies or what? I dont want it to die come COD 4.

Well, honestly, you have a couple hours left with your baby. But eventually its going to go for good. I was able to play about 4-5 hours collectively after it started freezing and giving RROD. Then it just was done for good. Call MS and get that repair order going ASAP. I know since mines happened so many times i get an xbox "elite" agent to help me with things, like authorize overnight shipping and such... Which is nice. I just want mine back by Nov 14 for Assassins Creed.

I wouldnt ever take it back, though. I really like it that much.

Well yeah, I'm sure it's still worth it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

The only problem is that you're screwed after the warranty is over. Maybe they'll find a way to fix the problem permanently before then though.

I'm gonna get a 360 sometime, I'm just scared of the rings of death. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

I got mine 13 months ago and had my first red ring this past weekend. Although, I got it because the power surged. I immediately turned the 360 off for a little while, and it came back on just fine.

Now that you mention I think it might have been a power surge that made my red rings (TV flickered, lights, etc.), I dunno, mybe ill get lucky.

What sucks is my cousin & I were playing Halo 3 and were about 2/3 of the way through the Ark level on Legendary, and we had to restart it. I'm just thankful we were able to restart it though. When I saw the red lights my heart sank http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Ok, it indeed was a power surge, so that means im in the clear or what?

I would start it up with no disc in it and see what happens.

Rowdy, my 360 is still alive and kickin' http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Strange man. In 2 years (had my console since launch) I never had any Red lights. I did send in my Xbox for repairs though as it was scratching my discs and it was freezing my games too often. 3 weeks later they gave me a fine new 360 and all is fine.

Bought the Orange Box the other day. It's great to play Half-Life 2 again. Amazing game still.

You should be. I've been red ringless since the power surge last weekend, and I've been putting a lot of mileage on my 360 all week long.
