For ground attack, it would enhance te realism to have an aircraft flown out to take imagery of potential targets and have the player decide which targets are of the highest priority. The player could be tasked with the recce flight and take the photos of installations and vehicles. Once landed, a rendering engine in the program could display the photos taken in a realistic format and leaves the player to analyse the imagery, including recognition of units and value of targets. For instance, is that a MiG-29A armed on the flight apron or a trainer MiG-29UB that isnt a threat? Where are the radars on the airfield that need to be taken out to defeat the SAMs? I think getting the player to collect and analyse their own intelligence would add a new dimension.
