As the game is a first person action rpg game, it would be nice to discuss or at least voice it to the developer about what are the importance of the controls.

It would be neat that the interface/control would resembles that of the gameplay like Fable:The Lost Chapter. You can sheath/unsheath your melee weapon using the 'Q' key, sheath/unsheath your range weapon with the 'E' key and use magic with the combination of the 'Shift' + Left/Right mouse button.

It was so neat and convenient that using a combination of magic/melee/range was never been that easy in any other games i've played.

Hopefully DMoMM would have a well planned interface and controls.

What that i know is that most games have a very in depth gameplay but failed in the controls/interface department.

Melee gameplay is almost certainly based on Arx Fatalis.
You carge up strikes by holding the attack button, the type of strike is based on movement.
