I was interested in this until I found out that these items cannot be used with the map editor.
WTF?
The editor is the primary reason to have any DLC.
I'll save my 800pnts
Fail Ubi.
Oh yeah you do get the honor of getting a bunch of Transporter 3 billboards that appear all over the place now.
My guess is they got paid a fortune and are now charging a fortune for the commercial.

I should take this game out of its shrink-wrap sometime. is it just me or does it seem a bit soon for fairly pricey DLC?

Its not to soon. Its nice to see that they are supporting the game, but they need to include editor usable items in the DLC. The Editor is going to keep this game alive for years.

We have added a few hundred new members to our site since the games release and the ubi forums are solid.
not to mention some of the maps have hit over 10,000 downloads.
This game might not be everyone's cup of tea. (Josh) but it allows the widest variety of gameplay choices for MP even though it is limited to four game types.
Its all about the maps.

Yes this game is definitely addictive. I like the single player much better, as there are many issues with the multiplayer.

I downloaded the fortunes pack but I can't see the new weapons or vehicles anywhere. I checked both, mutliplayer and single player, but nothing has changed......this is rather frustrating...

The items are sprinkled throughout the campaign.

I expected the new weapons to be available in the weapon shops and the vehicles to stand in front of my safe houses, I guess not...

I can only hope that this download works if I use a different gamertag for single player but on the same Xbox.

Silenced shotgun? I didn't know there was such a thing. Anyhoo, maybe it's just me but Far Cry 2 makes aiming your gun an awkward affair. I keep adjusting my controller sensitivity yet I still feel as though I have to yank my gun to turn left or right and when I do, it turns a 180. I like to keep aim assist disabled in FPS games but I may just have to turn it on with this one.

Yes, that's exactly the one problem I'm extremely frustrated with!!!! I too keep adjusting the sensitivity. At the moment it's the lowest possible, but I still turn awkwardly when aiming at somebody, even if they are right in front of me. I wished they had the aiming mechanism they use in COD and everything would be much more enjoyable. I'm sure it's an easy fix, but so far nothing happened.....I wished there was a way to get this request to the developers, as I'm sure we're not the only ones experiencing this issue.

Another big issue is the match set up. It's too bad they give the host the power to decide when the match starts. This way the players often sit and wait for the host to start the game, while he/she actually left the room to fix some food or whatever!!!!! It should be an automatic countdown like in COD where the game starts as soon as enough players are available.

There's a thread over at the Far Cry 2 forums with PC users also complaining...rather than bragging about how superior their mouse/keyboard is. The Call of Duty series does have a superior aiming system and so does RSV2-another Ubisoft game,go figure--so I'm a little confused as to why this game is made to feel so different. I haven't given multiplayer a try; I'm too busy admiring the lighting effects in this game. So puuurrty. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I play without the Reticle. I have gotten so used to it that it screwed me up when I was at a friends playing COD4.

Just a suggestion; don't try to change targets while looking down the sights. It will always speed up at the last second.
Let go of the Left trigger move hit the trigger and shoot. ITs similar to COD in that way. I know it works because my average kill count has improved at least 50% since I started conciously trying to do this.

By the Way to stay on topic, All of the maps suck and they failed by not making this stuff availible in the Editor.

Download STATE UNIVERSITY 2 which should be up by Tuesday. I made the map.

I am currently building a map of the Space Needle.
If anyone here has pictures of the interior of the place that you could link me to that would be fantastic.
