loading patch problem

When I load the game and select play my computer starts loading the patch. It then tells me that 'one or more updates were found! Do you wish to run it?'
If I say yes then i am told that
'the game version is higher than the version I am trying to instal!' All though when I start the game I can still not map the axis buttons on my thrustmaster firestorm digital 3.
I cwant to clear this up before trying the new patch (version 6)

'the game version is higher than the version I am trying to instal!' message is because the patch is not officially released yet you can simply ignore it. Try downloading patch 6 and see if your joystick works then http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I got a similar problem with official 1.01:

I already installed it, but the updater keeps me asking for download/install the patch, which results in a 'already installed' message.

i instaled the 6th patch and got the ussual message. When I tried to map the controls it still registered the buttons but not the joystick/4 way toggle. However when i started the game I could move side to side! (Just not roll or move up or down which DOES help) When will the official patch come out???
