I would appreciate some suggestions on getting better in versus mode. I've only been online two days with SCCT, and I'm getting beat down hard! Best I can do right now is learn the maps, which is the easy part I've found out! But what to do about all those sneaky veterans? Any help here? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Try to find someone you can play with on a regular basis, that is very helpful.

He put one up as a .pdf. Why zip it? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I took down the .pdf because it ate a lot of bandwidth. People tend to open those things directly from the server whenever they wanna read it, and that way, they have to download it each time. If its zipped, they have to download it first, and then open it and unzip. That way, when they wanna read it again, they have it on their harddrive.
Oh, and someone else could host the .pdf if they wanted too. My free webspace isn't really that capable.

yeah, Spekkio's guide is really helpful. I'd been playing PT's Versus off and on since it came out, and even the Beta. And after all that, I still found new, helpful things in Spekkio's guide. Kudos, Spekkio!http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Any help here? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Study the maps by using the "Visit a map" Option of Versus and besides that, practise together with good (and fair) players! You need to actually study your opponent's actions & gameplay! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif It's all a matter of time and practice! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Oh and be patient because nobody ever started the game and was instantly the Master of Stealth-Action! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Finding a partner, or a group of people to play with will really help, it's all about tatics and strategy.

A suggestion is if you see a merc begin to move eradically. It makes it harder for them to hit you. If your cornered zap them and as you run by drop a flash bang or smoke to slow em down. Dont try to actively hunt mercs. Also if you want to see around the bend or have a better warning system while hacking either use the heart beat sensor to detect stuff through walls or use the spy bullets and shoot them near doorways because they mark any enemy that comes within 5 meters of them so they can be used as an early warning system. And if a merc comes in i suggest silently moving into a corner and staying still till he leaves. If his back is to you rush out and grab him. If one runs past use the roll to catch up to him if you want to grab.
Oh and keep your ears open for any beeping. This is a surefire give away of a mine. Also use thermal and sticky cameras. Sticky cams can be used to scout a room for traps or mercs and thermal well it lets you see lasers. But make sure you coordinate with your partner other than that nothing but practice.
