Heres a list of what i think should be added to multiplayer, feel free to add to it
1. Kill assists
2. chat while dead
3. team chat (idk if this is in or not but i couldnt find it)
4. make chat have a different color then people connecting and what not
5. either remove or do something to the sniper to make him balanced, he is completely underpowered because the accuracy is horrible and only works on people standing completely still, dont flame me about this saying youve gotten kills im just saying theres no point id rather use rifleman at any range then that

Only thing I know they have is team chat, press 'u' to use it.
One thing I'd like to see is voice communication. That and more people playing all the time :P

wow i assumed that had voice chat, thought that was an essential ><, frankly i shouldve expected this when i played quantum of solace they only just today release the map pack that was due in january lol

I could be wrong and if so please correct me but I've not heard anyone using voice.
I do have a problem with all Source based games (not that this one is) where I create a sound black hole when I hit my talk key 0_o Thats what I call it at least.

How come no one has mentioned that your completely unable to cycle different maps and game types when your hosting a match without having to quit and redo it all over again? This is a basic feature that is missing!

i think you can, you go to advanced options and take off loop maps, but idk how thats advanced lmao ubisoft is weird

I just want one thing.
Bullet cam for kills. When you are killed you get to see the kill in slow motion from he perspective of the killing bullet.

ok guess what i found a MAJOOOORRR problem with the multiplayer, i had 1600 freaking points (thats like 4 times more than the higest score ive ever seen somebody have) and i dc'ed (not my internet just unstable server) and i lost all my points
Zerocloud411

and the problem keeps occuring every match i do and pretty much only at the end when i have mvp...great, thats like 2 unlocks down the drain at least, anyway another problem is that there is no team balancing and ive had matches with like 10 guys vs 2...

I ran "Wastelands" server for 2 years and here's what I see missing from MP COJ BiB:
Obvious: dedicated server (mp will die without this very soon)
- ability to change ports (without this you can only run 1 server from your network)
- ability to name your server (server name should not be limited to your profile name)
- ability to queue many maps/modes for rotation (WTF is this loop single map thing?)
- authentication servers should ONLY be checking people when they connect (my server shuts down whenever it loses connection to Techland authentication server right now, which last night was every hour or so) - HINT: if my CD Key was ok when I connected... it's probably still ok... Techland servers are notoriously unreliable
- chat when dead (this was half the reason COJ had a good community, we like to talk when we can't play, don't force us to sit there mute watching other people play the game!
- Disable "TNT glow" (TNT now glows like a cartoon character... ridiculous in such a pretty game) Just make the fuse more visible like it was in the first game
- allow more than 12 players (maybe in poland you have crap for bandwidth, but I pay alot of extra money so I can serve around 30-40 players. Don't limit my server, that's my job)
- add spawn points to some maps (several maps have a single spawn point, which gets camped)
- ADD "toggle run" key binding back to the control options. COJ players are accustomed to this feature.
- option to turn off indicators on server (star indicator for wanted, shield indicator for legend, etc) These are nice for newbies learning the game, but veterans would like the challenge of actually hunting down the enemy without a huge "here he is" sign visible from across the map.
- possibly weather options for MP maps? (rain, sun, wind, night/day) - probably only wishful thinking, but the SP has these features already programmed, couldn't be that hard to turn them on in MP.
That's all I can think of. I don't blame Techland for these shortcomings. I'm sure they would have loved another month or two to finish this game before releasing it. UbiSoft has a history of rushing titles out (ready or not). I only hope Techland listens to our cries for help and will fix the MP portion of this wonderful game. I don't buy video games very often (probably 1 a year) and the fact I purchased this title speaks volumes for how much I love the game.
If you are reading these posts Techland, please, take a vacation, get some sleep for a week or so, and then come back and finish this game as fast as you can (before some other title comes along and makes people forget COJ2 like they did COJ1).

@GROMRoland: The only thing I'd like to add to your post is the icons. Instead of having them on or off how about a middle? Like they don't show through walls but only when they're in plain sight. I just think Wanted would be a pain if you didn't know who he was :P

GROMRoland those are some really minor problems that are hard to fix that you mentioned...doing all of that could take months and it still would barely make the game better, stick to ideas like adding chat while dead or having auto-team balance, or w/e

He had chat in there and some of his others were major problems like the authentication thing booting you.

There are two important improvements I could think of now:
- Multiplayer co-op campaign (one player as Ray, other as Thomas), VERY needed.
- More maximum players in multiplayer, make it 32 for example, instead of 12.

Co-op would be pretty awesome but I am unsure really how feasible adding the option would actually be.
As for 32 players in MP matches. The levels are just too small to accommodate 32 players. It would turn into an awful laggy mess, with people running around like headless chickens. Instead of the more measured and tactical play, it would turn into a chaotic mess of bullets and people screaming into their mics. Increasing the players to 16 would be ok but any more than that it could change the whole feel of the MP.

1. Spectate in mp needs serious fixing, one spectate cam?
Add player spectate both 3rd and firstperson and a few more camera spots.
2. Spawncamping is pretty horrible in this game, fix this please.
3. DLC needs to come fast, 8 maps and only 5 of them are really good. Make the first DLC FREE to show appreciation.. dont do like Sony/Guerrilla and split the community in half and charge $5 for two extra maps.
4. Add a duel mode in mp, just for fun, 1vs1 duel like sp.
5. The mic's seems weird and laggy.
6. Make it so you don't get kicked back to main menu after ranked match (why cant there be default map rotation in ranked?!)
7. Learn from the big guys (Infinity ward) they know how to make mp succesful.. techland have done a pretty good work with mp, but it needs more to attract the gamers. And how about a killcam? It's not like IW have a patent on it do they?
8. I'm sure you can squeez in 4 more players? 16 players are the magic number, and some of the maps fits perfect with 4 more players.
9. And whats with the sight on screen? That is soooo 2001, add Iron sights instead.. please.
10. More maps, more characters, more gametypes.. we can never have enough of that.
11. Easier way to invite friends to your game.
12. Clantags.. there are a few thousand clans out there ya know... =)
13. And fix the damn sniper rifle, lot's of people are using it unscoped.. one shoot one kill.
14. The ability to watch players info/add friend etc from the score board.. and also, more importantly the ability to KICK players.
15. Did i mention more FREE DLC?
Otherwise a great game, could be because it has no competition since it's one of a kind on the PS3 and really only have 2 other western games to "compete" against on the xbox360.

add concentration mode to wanted and maybe manhunt, trust me its not op because there arent that many people around you and if you manage to get that many kills you deserve it, also yea i know its too complicated to make everybody else stop in time but you could make it just so you become invincible while you do it

UPDATE:
Ok, I've had a few days to play the game and I've got some minor changes to my list.
Map rotation is already fixed. I didn't know this but you can hit the "Custom maps" button when creating a server and choose any number of the maps (just like the old server map list) - Although it would be nice to be able to select more than one "game mode" for your rotation... this is not Terribly important.
The Authentication servers seem to finally be able to handle the load (my server/client hasn't gotten kicked out in a few days now) so maybe they've got that under control too - Although I still say making your game continuously check CD keys is not only overkill, it's a waste of bandwidth (but again, as long as it works, oh well).
CHAT WHEN DEAD IS VITAL!!! Not being able to type a chat msg when you're waiting to spawn is unacceptable! This is where COJ1 players got to know each other and built a sense of "community". It also makes you waste in-game time trying to type your msg (and therefore 99% of players just never say anything). This really kills the whole "online" experience since you basically get ZERO interaction with other players (except via bullets).
This is still the NUMBER ONE IMPORTANT FIX THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN...
Dedicated server scripts (many of the routines are already programmed for this - just look at the options in your options.scr file)
AND
You must be able to change ports on your server when setting it up.
Many clans (like GROM and others) host 2 or more servers from a single VMWARE server. You CANNOT do this with static ports. The firewall rules will only allow forwarding ports to a single IP address. Are you listening Techland? Without being able to change ports this game will NEVER have a large server list.
Side note: Zerocloud...
I don't really think any of the suggestions I made would take very long to implement. Ok, so the weather was wishful thinking (I mentioned as much).
However, the rest of this stuff is either stuff they had working great on COJ1 (this is after all only a modified Chrome 2 engine, so the same code should work on non graphic routines)
Think about this, the TNT glow thing is just a shader they applied to the TNT model (very easy to turn this on/off)
chat when dead? Jesus, they had to write a special routine to break this, it worked fine before.
spawn points? holy cow, ever created a Mod or map in ChromED? it's literally a 30 second procedure to create random spawn points.
allow more than 12 players? This is ONE value. Max_players=XX (if they don't want to fix it, tell me where it is and I'll use a HEX editor and do it myself)
Toggle Run - minor to some, major to me... This is pretty easy to fix and add one more assignable key to the menu)
Ok, now I have to say, I'm not sure why you would think being able to name your server is not important. Every game I play online I have favorite servers. Some of these I've played on for years and know everyone who plays there. As a long time administrator of the most successful COJ1 version 1.1.0.0 server online, I spent a lot of time building a reputation for fair game play, kicking cheaters, generally providing a fun game environment. Also, you should be able to "tag" your server name with your clan affiliation or to reflect clan matches, etc. The current method of naming the server the host player's name is a little odd, and not very useful.
I also really miss Skirmish and some of the other modes of game play. I know this is a new game and therefore they changed it all up, but I'm an older gamer and I liked the break being dead for half a round gave me. All the current modes are "go, go, go!" and I feel like I can't even take a break to pee without missing the action. But again, on this point I'm strictly ranting... it's not a deal breaker for me.

By the way - I still can't host a game. I have a fast internet connection (28-32,000 kbps DL 8-12,000 kbps UL), I have opened suggested ports, I have everything allowed through my firewalls, I have my DMZ set to the right address, I can host multiplayer games in numerous other games without a hitch.
In this game, my MP room shows as having one red ping bar to people living down the street from me, and everyone times out when they try to connect. I suspect this is happening to more people than just me. What could possibly be the deal?

The more I play, the more I realize how sorely the multiplayer needs a "Skirmish" mode, much like the one in Call of Juarez 1.
I've logged in a healthy amount of multiplayer hours now - probably around 12 or so - and here's what I'm learning:
Wild West Legends: one team runs'n'guns, one team sits'n'spits. Has this mode been getting excruciatingly boring to anyone else yet? I loved it at first, but now? Eh. It's the same thing - over and over and over. With those collective "blow this up" or "don't let them blow this up" goals - it strangles the possibilities as everyone becomes hyper-oriented with the maps.
Manhunt/Wanted - these modes have their moments - but when one isn't in the mood for total Xtreme mayhem with scarce few tactics, this is eventually a yawn, too.
Shootout - Essentially the Deathmatch mode. I've been in only a few Shootouts so far but have never tried them again: every Shootout I've ventured into the towns were chock full of snipers hiding in every window - waiting to evaporate every foolhardy chap jogging down the street. This mode may be great for some people, but, ultimately, I think most players like teams, and usually steer clear of deathmatches.
Possee: this mode gets closest to the "Skirmish" mode from COJ 1 but, it, like the others, loses much of its appeal because of one simple thing: No one ever dies.
NO ONE EVER DIES!
And this is essentially the problem with all of the MP modes. Every match becomes something along these lines:
Spawn. Run toward target. Bang. Boom. Wham. Bam. Die. Rinse. Repeat.
If you're good, maybe you'll get a bunch of kills in a row - but you'll still be doing the same thing. Rinse. Repeat.
I'm finding BiB a very one-dimensional experience with the multiplayer, much as I did with the linear shooting gallery-esque single player game.
All is not lost, though.
A Skirmish mode ala COJ 1 (or something like it) would change everything. The incessant respawning in multiplayer, while fun sometimes, becomes a dreadful bore after a while - and makes this game feel more like Donkey Kong than a sweet next-gen Old West FPS. We need an option for a multiplayer mode where, if one dies - one is dead for the round.
If people actually died (for a small period of time during a 3 minute-max round) - they would take their character's lives a little more seriously. You'd have a sudden influx of tactics in this game beyond just sniping from some particular spot - or charging with dynamite toward a cluster of enemies. It think it would open up a whole new world for those of us who play this game and who have a little more patience.
Please. It's all we ask. A skirmish mode. I understand that you have to make the game appealing to the masses of fidgety, lightspeed gamers who want constant action or nothing at all. But there is a strong contingent of us who want a slightly slower pace. We're the people who are the thoughtful ones. The ones who run dedicated servers. The ones who try to weed out the cheaters and always play fair. The ones who create our own maps. The ones who keep your games alive years after they are released.
And all we want is a Skirmish mode.
P.S. plus everything GROM Roland is talking about.
P.P.S. why on this good, green earth did you take out the ability to chat while dead? For realism? I can't think of any other reason you would have done it. In a screaming, breakneck respawn-fest of a multiplayer, you went for the "You Died" realism with the CHAT?
