Using Game Pads

Hi Everyone,
Iv recently purchased Prince of Persia (Warrior Within) and i use a game pad. My problem is that I have 2 game pads connected to the one plug and the first game pad is missing a button. Does anyone know if there is a way to use the second controller instead?
