about 8% of people i the world are lefties. and a very small amount of people are truly ambidexterous meaning they can play baseball, write and draw stuff with both hands but they have bigger change of getting some arm "syndromas" because human body is not made to operate all things with both hands. btw lefties have basically better calculation and mathematical skills than righties because now the left side of the brain uses the "better" arm and leaves the right side (witch contains the maths section) operating more freely.

I hope i remembered all those details right...

btw, answer to your question, I'm one of the "unique lefties" in the world.

Actually, raakile, the left hemisphere controlls the right side of the body. You said lefties have better calculations, etc. because their left side now controlls the "better arm," leaving the right side freer to calculate.

However, using your own theory, that would make righties more able to calculate.

All this, of course, if I understood right. No pun intended.

I voted left but I prolly shoulda gone with ambidextrous because I had to learn how to do just about everything righthanded in this crazy world.

Man, I'm glad this many have voted. I thought this poll would die after only 2 or 3 votes when I first created it. As to Covertki11, I actually think I was born Lefty. There are many reason, but first off
1.) My left eye is bigger than my right, by a small amount not really noticable, but enough when you look in a mirror really close.
2.) I can open bottles a lot easier with my left hand.
3.) I am better at math, like a lefty.
4.) I can only do some things with my left hand more than only some things with my right.
5.) My left hand fingernails grow faster, but also thicker. But my right handed ones are stronger, so that may not matter.

I write with my right hand, but as bad as my hand writting is, it doesn't matter. In kindergarten I could to use both hands to write with, but my teachers taught me to use my right hand because they were rightys. I used to bat switch in baseball, and I believe I still can. I can shoot a revolver one handed with both hands, and a rifle too, of course with 2 hands, but I can use either hand to pull the trigger. Needless to say, I'm weird. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif
