The game also support NVIDIA GeForce 1 cards and AMD Duron processors. You need an AGP card off course, PCI isn't enough for this game.

If you use w98 double check that your chipset is supported in latest drivers. I.e. VIA doesn't support w98 anymore.

It runs nice and smooth on my P3 866 with a GForce 4 MX (64MB DDR). It could run better obviously but I need to upgrade. All in all it is eminently playable. Dont hesitate for a second. I havent enjoyed an Ubisoft game this much since Twin Worlds!
