Mission Question

This is probably the dumbest question in the world but i will ask it anyway. I am playing the first mission as the 7th floatila and i went to the grid it asked me to and patrolled for 24 hours. both objectives in the F8 mission panel say complete. I traveled all the way back to the port im supposed to end the mission at but i cant figure out what i have to do to end it i just float in the dock and nothing happens. so could someone please tell me what to do to end the mission. Thanks.

It seems you should be able to end a mission the way you are doing it especially since it says complete under objectives. But it says in the readme or manual that you can press the ESC key and end it that way this allows you to either save your mission while out on patrol and or to end it .. Return to port which auto matically returns you to port. But you may be going for realism and wanting to motor back. Oh, this option with the ESC key may only be available if you have installed the patch.
