Firstly, hi. First post, etc.

Secondly, I was curious to know if there are plans for another official patch to Dark Messiah's multiplayer. I played it for roughly a week before quitting in utter frustration. It looks like it could shape up to be a gigantic blast, but the ridiculously unbalanced nature that I'm sure everybody's aware of totally ruins it. The fact that mages and archers are basically everything a team needs after the average level is over 5 completely guts the game's fun for me. Is there going to be another official patch, or is the community expected to fix it with this SDK that is apparantly getting released?

Lastly, regarding the single player, I was curious to know if anyone else was as much of a challenge junkie as I was about it. I've recently been trying to complete the game on Hardcore difficulty without ever dying (playing it hardcore on difficulty Hardcore, as it were). Obviously, this has been ridiculously difficult, and I'd like to talk to anyone who's also tried this sort of play regarding general tips and such for not only my playthrough, but the guide for this style of play I'm creating at playithardcore.com (http://playithardcore.com/pihwiki/index.php?title=Dark_Messiah), a site I maintain for challenge enthusiasts.

Thanks in advance for all your input!

no (there is a big sticky about it)

you are playing mostly warrior aren't you? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (if i'm right you should use last stand; it will become far better for you then)

looks like (even though as of now we don't even know what exactly we will be able to do with the sdk)

try to have something to throw around you always
it's a HUGE help when they are coming for you (i did an instagib with a shovel :O and barrels and boxes will knock them down most likely and then you can stab them)

Actually, I played basically whatever was required. I spent my first life gauging what the enemy and my team was doing, then I'd suicide and choose something useful. I did really well, sure, but the game was boring when I was an Archer or Mage and frustrating when I was basically anything else.

Anyway, I'm pretty much covered on the basics. I've got A character and skill guide (http://playithardcore.com/pihwiki/index.php?title=Dark_Messiah:_Character_and_Skill_ Guide), an item guide (http://playithardcore.com/pihwiki/index.php?title=Dark_Messiah:_Item_Guide), and a survival guide (http://playithardcore.com/pihwiki/index.php?title=Dark_Messiah:_Survival_Guide), though the last one is something I'd like to add more onto. Currently I only have a good blueprint for generalized combat. It works great, but that's just not all there is to DM.

I've also got a number of instructional videos (http://youtube.com/profile_videos?user=playithardcore), (9, if i remember right) on beating a number of the hardest parts of the game safely, such as the Orc Cliffs, the Spider Pit, the Aratrok Fight, and so on. It's nowhere near done yet, but it's a good start to give you an idea of the stage I'm at. Obviously, the videos are spoilers if you haven't already played that particular point of the game.

That's my reason for keeping replaying hardcore, without dying. But i don't feel like sharing/reading about it at all because it's contradictive to any challenge (at least for me). It's just my personal challenge until i have enough one day (if that's possible).... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

But i share your opinion (i read your post that way) about this great replay value of the game! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

EDIT: just seen your second post ^^; i just think you should put a [SPOILER] tag in this thread's title...

Done, though I don't really see how it spoils much of anything.

At any rate, if you've anything to add to what I've got already, I'd be very appreciative.
