30 markers and people are losing marker progress???

There have been instances of having all 30 markers and when entering them into the GZ machine, some are lost! Well, mine reverted to blue and should be yellow.
With the help of a friend I got past the doors but I am "markerless" and even old markers that I hunt down don't reveal themselves. I quit the game hoping this will reset my progress.
Please help me UBI techies! It was so hard to get them all.
Also, I lost one the other day and it came back today!
This is frustrating and makes me want to pout loudly! Can you correct individual glitches?
If not then what's the point....If we lose progress...
To create another avatar and start all over penalizes progress and joy!

well don't panik, i don't know if I understand well the problem and if is or isn't a bug.

When you finally have the 30 markers, and then you enter into the GZ machine, then your Ki turns blue again. They aren't lost.

Now, you can go the machines for the GZ missions, each mission turn your ki in a determinated color, and now the markers are collected passing through them.

ahh, when you have succesfully uploaded the 30 markers then there are no worryes, the gzm missions can be restarted when you want.

my dear friend Uniquehorn lost all his markers. Really truly frustrating to say the least. He's committed hari kari and is reincarnating. Anyways, just really frustrating is how he put it last night. Not to mention annoying, pain in the a*se
etc. I've lost my Eder ages and have no hood book but count myself lucky sitting pretty at 28. I'm going no where near a KI machine. not until it's deemed safe from reliable sources. don't delete books people - bad, bad, bad stuff happens.

I just did email him. I hope he won't be discouraged. I think I emailed him and got his GB name correct. Gosh, I hope I didn't email a stranger! Haha.
It might take two people to open the doors. I was with someone. His markers turned yellow, then turned blue like mine had. It looks like one loses all but they don't!

Debbie...did you keep your sav folder? This can help. Markers are easier to get than to try to get a book back.
But someone really clever can help you get the book back. Also, check your Relto book. Are you missing green pages? Have any dimmed? This happened to me!
I'd get some clever help!
Also, notify in game the UBI techies...they might be able to restore it! And what is more magical is that it might come back anytime when you log on again.
Poor UH, he didn't have to start over! I don't think he really did.
Tell him to add me to his buddies list asap in A, K and A...I have two in Achenar...One I mess with. The other's number isn't displayed. The Achenar id might be incorrect here as I did destroy her once.
Pete C. is our mega problem solver in Yve's hood. We got my Teledahn working but the tye-die is gone from my closet and no longer appears there but Tel. is working now. It took two of us!

If you don't have at least 30 markers, you can't pass thourgh the doors. And is indiferent if the doors are open or closed. Simply you can't pass.

When you upload 30 markers, then the ki turns blue.
Each GZ mission turns your Ki in a determined color.

I have a different problem along the same line...

I recently started a new character on the Achenar Shard, and have managed to collect 29 markers.

The one I am missing is the one in Sharper's Office (I'm 100% sure, as it wasn't there the first time I visited). It is simply not there. I have revisited all 30 known locations (some twice or three times) and cannot find the missing marker. Could be a bug, I suppose...

got your ki #'s and will add to buddy list. Thank you for trying to help. I don't think I did? get rid of the SAV folder. Would one have to purposedly delete it? Don't know. I'm happy for you that so far actions have not been futile. I think that's what got Uniquehorn so down. see you in game although prob. not on Atrus. Man, that door is stubborn this morning.

Same comment on Achenar. I keep careful log of what I have where & when I went to Office there was none. I am going back today to recheck, but I checked twice yesterday before I got so tired of Achenar dying ....

Hi Almol! One of my favorite moderators! The thing is, people are putting their Ki's into the GZ machine and it is taking one or two markers leaving them less than 30 when they had 30!!
What can they do? Uniquehorn did this in two shards and lost markers.
I told him to try to go in and out of game, hoping the game will correct this. He is afraid to do this in the third shard.
Hope this can be worked out!

Ok, as i read in the entire thread:

1) You get all 30 markers
2) Now you go to GZ
3) You upload the 30 markers in the machine.
4) You lose some markers, but not all, your ki has still some red markers.
or
4) You lose 30 markers and your ki turns blue.

** after finished reading the entire journal, i turned my eyes to my complete blue Ki after fetching 30 markers to check that is correct **

OK, the journal says this.

1) Get 15 markers.
2) When your ki, is full, it has 15 markers, upload them to the GZ machine.
3) Now you have 0 markers in your KI, and now your ki turned is red.
4) Get 15 diferent markers.
5) When your kii is full again, then upload them into the GZ machine
6) Now you have 0 markers, and your KI is blue.
7) Now you have access to the calibration chamber, because you uploaded 30 markers into the GZ machine in two rounds.

8) Now you can select any GZ mission.
9) Depending of the mission that you select, your KI will turn into one determined color, and will have space for a determined number of markers.
10) Now, go and fetch the new markers.
11) If you select another GZ mission, then you lost all markers from that mission, and then now you are in step 9.
12) If you complete a GZ mission, or you unselect the mission from the machine, then your KI turns blue. And hasn't got any marker.


Conclusions:
* You never have space in your KI for 30 markers, when you upload them, they disapear, and your KI passes from one state to another one.
* There are 4 types of KI
- Blue KI without nothing. The KI that you get from Gahreensen age.
- Green KI with room to 15 markers. You get it from the GZ.
- Red KI with room to 15 markers. You get it from the GZ when you have uploaded 15 markers from a green KI.
- Complete Blue KI without markers, enabled to do the GZ missions. You get it from GZ when you have uploaded 15 markers from a red KI.

so, where is the bug?


Also, i just checked that the BCO (Baron's city office) marker is not avaliable anymore. Now there are 30 total markers.

Hi, the bug is that some lose a few markers and the GZ machine doesn't give them a clean slate nor access to the door. Uniquehorn has had the problem in two shards. So they put in 30 but come out with a Ki showing 13 and the Ki didn't recognize the 15....I will try to show him this thread so that he can explain the problem.

Ok, now it is more clear.

1) After uploading the second round of markers from a red ki, then something in the transfer process fails, and you end with a bugged red ki, with some markers. Then you can't downgrade or upgrade your ki unit.


Yes, is a terrible bug. And like all the other terrible bugs, there are only two solutions.

*) Create a new avatar
OR
*) Contact in-game with the CCR with the /petition command on another similar command.


I was in-game with players that lost some markers when they loget out. The only solution was wait a CCR response, if they didn't want to recreate their avatars.

I think that they could implement a ki reset function, and then you can reset your ki to the previous status without the need of deleting and creating a new avatar.

The CCR may reset the Ki or give a completed KI to the player that request the petition. (if they have time..)

Thanks for doing this for me Mary! I think I really need the /petition solution on Atrus and Achenar.

On Atrus in the Great Zero the registration machine ate 6 markers and left 9 markers on my KI. By hood change a bit later I lost Great Zero completely. Strange enough the Great Zero Observation (only link that remains) ate the other nine all of a sudden. Maybe this could have solved my first bug if I had a Great Zero to go see if doors went open now?

On Achenar in the Great Zero the registration machine ate 1 marker and left 14 markers on my KI. I think I lost Great Zero there too but haven't been able to check that yet.

On Atrus I also had a blue hood book with black swirl and no link.
